Obama-Era State Department Official Provides More Evidence Of FISA Abuse

Kathleen Kavalec’s notes provide at least four more pieces of proof to the already-conclusive case of FISA abuse and wrongful government targeting.

In October 2016, the Obama administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) obtained the first of four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court surveillance orders on former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page. More than a year later, and following an intensive investigation into the FISA process by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), Rep. Devin Nunes (R–Calif.) released a four-page memorandum detailing FISA abuse related to the Page surveillance order.

Since then, there has been a constant stream of evidence exposing the abuse. The most recent addition came last week when news broke that Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec met with dossier author Christopher Steele on October 11, 2016—two weeks before the DOJ and FBI relied on the Steele dossier to obtain a FISA surveillance order targeting Page.

Notes Kavalec took memorializing her meeting with the former MI6 spy, and reports that Kavalec shared with the FBI details of her confab with Steele, provide more proof that Obama administration officials and career DOJ and FBI employees abused the FISA court process.

The FISA application stated the FBI had determined Steele to be “reliable” and was “unaware of any derogatory information pertaining” to their source. Kavalec’s memo showed just the opposite.

Kavalec’s meeting notes prove that Steele lied to the FBI and that the FBI, in turn, lied to the FISA court.

Steele stated that his client was “keen” that his anti-Trump research be made public before Election Day. This detail further illustrates the purely political nature of Steele’s supposed intel. The DOJ and FBI illegally withheld this information from the FISA court.

The FBI failed to conduct even a rudimentary screening of Steele’s supposed intel before relying on it in the FISA application.

0bama's arrogance and belief that "he was the smartest guy in the room", when in fact he is a simpleton, will be what gets him hung - and the sooner, the better!

How much proof is required before people are indicted?

Someone has to do the paperwork, verify & prepare the evidence draw up the documents. We haven’t had a AG for 10 years! None of this can be done quickly nor should it be. It all has to be rock sold because the media will portray it as Trump’s revenge. Imagine would happen if they got off! Remember Hoover’s FBI screwed up the prosecution of William Ayers, how did that work out for us in 2008?

” A sixth grader could have done better.”

I suspect that the senior people who actually did the work had long been separated from the nuts and bolts of how things work. I believe they were managers who did this on their own so as not to involve lower level people because this was political and not about national security. Lower level people might have pointed out the ethical problems and, worse, have written them down thus providing a paper trail. (The lower level people get ethics training and a number to report their concerns to. Just one such report might have blown the whole conspiracy out the window.) I have seen this done in companies where the top level people are doing something nefarious, usually to enhance their bonus. But, they no longer know the details of how things work “now” and do foolish things that make their acts discoverable.

Don't forget who was always at his elbow, who encouraged his ego...his shadow, Valerie Jarrett.

Her part in all this must be enormous.

“A sixth grader could have done better”

A first grader making a crayon drawing that says “Trump is a doo-doo head” would be more believable intelligence than what Steele came up with.

Yep. United Criminals of America have made a mockery of law, justice and the republic. For scum like this to skate exposes ruinous flaws in the “checks and balances”. The framers fought for this? Young men on the battlefields throughout our history have died for this? Beyond outrage.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was running the entire operation.

At one company I worked at, one Regional Sales VP was cooking up side deals to boost his income using the company email system! We worked with the CIO to dump his entire conversations and that provided the ammo to fire him. I couldn't believe how stupid he was to do that using a company system that was easily audited and trackable. You are right about senior people doing some incredibly stupid things.
