Agree. Anyone who criticizes what the President proposes should offer an alternative solution.
This is actually a smart calculation on her part. Border states are fearful of lost business from this action and she has to look like she is standing with local business. Same reaction from Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas who is otherwise a solid Trump supporter.
I’d give her some leeway here unlike those Republicans grandstanding for impeachment.

I am a lifelong Democrat; but I fully support President Trump.
Your opposition to his tariffs vs Mexico is not sound. Either say nothing, or support it. Your softness on this issue will be perceived across the border as a signal to stiffen. Why do you think Mr. Trump has waited this long to propose tariffs here? It is simply because he has exhausted every other avenue to solving the crisis on our border. The leftists in this country think that vacuuming up 3rd-worlders is the only way they can ever regain power; and I concur. They have nothing to offer except free stuff and identity politics. They are all ideology all the time. For you to oppose our President is to throw in with them in their perfidious cause. And if they take over again, it will be lights out, game over. They will absolutely open up a reign of terror on the likes of you and me; don’t help them!
Don’t forget: the President was elected BY FAR on this border issue. His base is in full agreement with him. He just hasn’t had any help from anyone else; he needs us all, NOW.
You need to throw your support behind Mr. Trump; he is our only hope at this time. I think you know this. Please act like it. If not, I will switch my party affiliation to Republican just to primary you. I’ve been a Democrat for 53 consecutive years, so I don’t say this lightly.
PS to FReepers about my being a Dem. It’s true; but I’m really a DINO. I have maintained my old party affiliation mainly because it’s the only way to have a voice in county politics (sheriff, judges, assessors, County Attorney, etc), because our county is run by dems, and they mostly are pretty good.
Plus it sometimes gives me cred when making points such as this one, and in arguments (discussions) with ideological dems.

The Party Establishment in Arizona is extremely “Cheap Labor” and utterly ruthless against conservatives. And if a candidate who isn’t on the Cheap Labor Express gets past the primary, the GOP-E here will cheerfully vote democrat.
I loathe McSally and have for years. From long before her political career. But in 2020, it will be McSally or Mr Gabby Giffords - a pro-illegal immigration, gun hating abortionist who will vote 100% against any Trump judges. So I’m stuck. A repulsive POS who will vote the way I want 60% of the time, or a repulsive POS who will vote the way I want 10% of the time.
BTW - I voted for Kelli Ward in the last primary, but she won’t win a primary in Arizona. Her running will ALWAYS result in a 3-4 way race. The State Party people will make sure of it.
