The House Judiciary Committee’s lead witness in its Mueller Report hearings this week will be someone who has nothing to do with Donald Trump, nothing to do with Russia, nothing to do with Mueller’s investigation, and who throughout his career could be trusted on virtually nothing.
Some have compared Democrats squiring in Richard Nixon’s disgraced White House counsel and Watergate conspirator John Dean, in their first step on a road they hope will lead to Trump’s impeachment, to bringing in Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. It’s really more like Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, the stars who played the Washington Post reporters in the movie of their book All the President’s Men.
The stunt is a cinematic opportunity to let the establishment media do what they’ve been pining to do for over two years now: juxtapose video of Dean’s blockbuster testimony to the Watergate committee with the various goings on today and hope the public conflates Nixon and the current White House occupant.

The fallout gave Democrats 49 new seats and a massive majority of over two thirds in the House of Representatives, and 60 seats, thanks to four gains, in the U.S. Senate in the 1974 midterms. This is playing to a unicorn fantasy. The majority of the nation was not of adult age during Watergate, so it might as well be Teapot Dome for all they know.

John Dean has since his moment in the sun been convicted of obstruction of Justice, disbarred and served 4 months of a 12 month jail sentence.
This is about as dumb as the libs having a convicted liar in Trump’s former Attorney Cohen testify in front of their committee.
The Republicans will have a field day with this loser.

I have the suspicion the Dems fully expected something in the way of a criminal act in the Mueller report to use in their scripted removal of Trump. Now, without anything, they’re proceeding with the script, because it’s all they have. They’re proceeding because the crime was just an excuse, the real crime in the Dem’s eyes is Trump “stole” the election from them.
This nonsense will continue until Durham stings criminal indictments against the coup plotters.
I was a kid back then but remember seeing him on tv and thought he was a jerk and a liar. Can’t say that opinion has changed over the years.
Let us not forget the unadorable Hitlery who got caught lying to the impeachment committee about the need to provide Nixon with counsel for the upcoming theater event. She was fired by a dem who said she was not trustworthy because she hid documents that were opposed to her statement regarding whether Nixon was allowed to be represented. This hag has been lying since at least her appearance as a staff person. She virtually got away with it then and has been doing the same thing since. Leopards and spots come to mind.
Go ahead an impeach our President. Make up all the “obstruction” charges you want. Then act surprised when Deplorables stop playing nice.

Nadler and Pelosi were busy scraping the bottom of the barrel, and found John Dean in the muck. The RATS are flailing away knowing at some point the president will land a knockout punch on them!
Oh, I hadn’t forgotten about her. During the hearings, I’d been off active duty for a couple of years. Nixon was my second CIC. A crash into the ocean would be too quick for her. I was thinking more along the lines of stake, hot sun, honey and ants.
Cinematic opportunity indeed it keeps the fact hid they have nothing on the table to help the country it’s the last thing they would ever do.

Heard rumor many, many years ago that Mo was the reason for the Watergate break-in. The democrats had op-ed work on her that was damaging. Think the rumor had some truth in it.
