Maybe not. I recall reading that these criminals are ones who had a court date for their asylum request and failed to show up. They broke the law by entering our country illegally and they broke the law by not showing up for court.
Sorry I don’t have a link.
giving judges power over responses to emergencies when congress failed to overrule is LOSING
did you read the article?
What was I supposed to be looking for?
By the way - almost every non-criminal illegal immigrant who gets “arrested” gets Catch and Release - often on the same day.
And, almost every non-violent criminal immigrant - e.g. false documents, identity theft, previous arrest for illegal entry - gets Catch and Release within a few days.
Now THIS takes some doing!
Here in Washington state I am happy ICE is doing raids. We have a useless governor and a useless city council.
Our lesbo mayor was braying the other day how “We won’t go back,” meaning the killing of babies. In reality Washington state had a heartbeat abortion law before Roe and had a heartbeat off and on for many year.
We are competing to be the worst homeless dump in the country but apparently infanticide is the main goal. Well, next to Inslee having us not go to work unless we ride a donkey or something. Well, maybe not that. Donkeys likely fart and pollute the climate.
Trump assures Re-election.
0bama earned the nickname Deporter-in-Chief. In 2012, the 0bama administration kicked 419,384 people out of the United States. From 2009-2016, 0bama’s administration deported 1,242,286 people from the interior of the U.S. That does not include the 1,507,220 border removals during that time.
Those facts are problematic for the current debate over immigration policy, in which demented Democrat liars try to frame Trump as being unreasonably cruel towards immigrants.

ONLY 11 million illegals in the country?
I think Trump could get a lot more done if he would just button his lip and go to work.
Being President is a whole lot different from being a corporate CEO, where flamboyant self promotion is a plus.
Not so in politics, where the dynamics are more like warfare. Telegraphing your every move to the other side is not helpful, and almost always results in the enemy launching counter measures before you can actually implement your plans.
We’ve seen this time and time again with this president.
Exactly. Just shut up and get to work making America great again!
Vanishingly few, I'd say, but there are a few in various positions sprinkled around the country.
And therein lies the crux of the problem in this country.
The political left doesn't adhere to, or believe in the Constitution, even though ALL of them have sworn an oath to uphold and defend it.
Like that little minor distinction makes any difference to the Democrats.
Sadly, it does not.
First time border jumping is a civil offense.
But, in general, “non-criminal” excludes immigration related crimes.
Yeah, that Yale study shocked a lot of people.
Then, the story completely disappeared.
If there has been any scholarly follow up on that new number, I have not read about it.
One problem with the study is that - if true - it means that more than 10% of our work force is illegal, which is hard to believe.
I seem to recall that the Obama administration was counting turn-backs at Ports of Entry as “deportations”. That’s why the numbers during Obama’s terms are so high.
No. It isn’t a good start. I think you misunderstand what apprehensions mean. It means they are arrested for a brief time and then let go into the general population either because they have asked for asylum or there is no room to keep them.
Well they should start since the bill that our worthless congress critters passed only encourages more of the same invasion.
