Historically the guy who takes out the front runner also loses ground. In 2004 Dr. Howard Dean was going great guns until designated hit man Dick Gephardt took him out in Iowa. Kerry then waded through the wreckage to take the nomination.

The Gerrymandering decision is good for Ohio which is a 50-50 state with 16 Congressional seats, but 12 are R and only 4 are D due to effective political gerrymandering.
If Bernie went to NK he might not come back.

It won’t be Bernie. He suffers the same afflictions as Sleepy Joe and this time around, he is just one among many radical leftists. He is a Socialist who caucuses with the Dem party. He will retain his core supporters, but I don’t see him adding to his 15%. He will be a player given the Dem rules in the primaries that are not winner take all. The Dem Establishment will do whatever is necessary to deny him the nomination. They don’t want a nominee who openly identifies as a Socialist. At least not this time around.
Harris must take black voters away from Biden. The SC primary comes early where 60% of the Dem primary voters are black. Bernie does not do well with black and brown voters. The SC primary will have a major role in determining Harris’ future along with her ability to raise money.
One thing that really go my attention that pretty much shows where obamcare finally wound up for those who played it straight and had the wealth to actually buy it was a caller from Rush.
The call went something like this.Hi Rush I have obamacare and as bad as it is I don't want the 21 monkeys to take it away.
Rush than asked the details of what sort of obamcare the caller had.
He replied:
I pay $2,900 per month and have a $12,000 deductible. Which means for what was formerly called a major medical plan which sold for peanuts years ago now is the way of the future for those five people still using zero care. Hard to imagine anyone would pay this kind of money for no coverage at all until you spend twelve grand.

There is no way they can run away from the socialist label, most of them proudly wear it. They are trying to run from the Communist one and not having much luck. Everywhere you go they are being called communists.
We know that the Dems will not make the mistake again of having two white people at the top of the ticket. One will at least be a minority and one will be a woman. Harris checks both boxes.
One consideration Kamala has to make is: when she loses in 2020 to President Trump, does that mean she can run again in 2024 or later, or will the democrats count her as one and done? Of course, they make invoke the Adlai Stevenson / Hillary Clinton precedent, and allow Kamala the chance to lose twice...
