A year ago, according to James S. Robbins, a Pentagon official during George W. Bushs administration and author of the book Erasing America, quoted POTUS Donald Trump opining that the American Left would never be satisfied with simply pulling down Confederate monuments.
No, the president said in 2017, Leftists would eventually adopt overt efforts to actually memory hole our founders, our traditions and our culture.
Is it George Washington next week he said, and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?
Noted Robbins: Liberal historians tut-tutted at the president for even suggesting such an absurdity.
Well, it turns out that our president, once again, was exactly right.

What you say is true, but you’re missing the point.
The objective is to replace the white population, particularly white males, with anyone else who is not white.
Part and parcel of that is to erase American history, since it was the white European who risked everything worldly (literally) to create this great country.
If all goes as planned, the straight white male will have no place in the New World Order.
Jefferson’s estate is closer, you can see the dome of the library that he designed from the property. Oh sugar, now they’re gonna tear down the library. Me and my big mouth.
Don’t tell them, please, mum’s the word!
George Washington is next once the statue smashers succeed in removing Jefferson.
It’s the inexorable logic that comes with judging the past by the moral perfection of our political Puritans.
The Virtue Signalers who nodded approvingly when Nikki Haley eliminated the Battle Flag shouldn’t be surprised by what has been unleashed.
Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.
Many military bases south of the Mason-Dixon Line are named for Confederate generals.
I’m surprised that our GOP establishment heroes haven’t yet collaborated with Obama Democrats to eliminate this outrage to modern American moral purity.

There’s a cabal of freepers who love saying that these men were the lowest of treasonous villains deserving of hanging, and yet here they are memorialized by the American military. Deo Vindice.
The American Indians captured members of other tribes/nations and held them as slaves. Wonder if the left will take notice and start renaming their place names and tearing down their heroes?
And how about the slave holding Incas, Mayans and Aztecs that were here in the Americas prior to Columbus? And didn’t the Spanish conquer them and take their land and continue using them as slaves? In other words, parts of South America, Central America and Mexico all have significant slave history.
So I guess Colonial America did not establish the practice of slavery, though we ended it here with the Civil War.
Say, didn’t the Arabs and Egyptians have slaves thousands of years ago? And the Greeks and Romans? And even the Africans? And later the Muslims? Doesn’t the slave traffic continue to exist among Muslims and Africans? And even in Mexico when it comes to human and sex trafficking?
Hmmmm... and Marxist Russia, fascist Germany, and modern day IslamoFascists?
Guess the whole damn world and all of humanity is to blame for slavery. We’ll have to burn ALL the books and tear down ALL the statues and monuments worldwide. And we’ll all have to pay each other reparation for ALL of our ancestors’ sins.
“Theres a cabal of freepers who love saying that these men were the lowest of treasonous villains deserving of hanging”
I know of those you speak. Not surprising. We have a “sort” of mixed Freepers. I even found a good number who are supportive of the faggots getting married.
“Just like fag marriage, they started with inches and went all the way..”
TMI!
I was there a few years ago. Intensely interesting. Jefferson's office/library appears to be much as he left it (spectacles on a desk), or arranged to look like it. l liked the bed built into a wall dividing two rooms. Much more to see there. I'm sure visitors to Monticello bring business to Charlotteville.
We Southerners have been telling y’all ever since PC Revisionism became a thing in Academia starting in the 1980s, the Leftists were never going to be satisfied with Confederate symbols. Their very next targets would be those same people’s parents and grandparents - the Founding Fathers. Everything they demonize Confederates for was also true of the Founding Fathers - after all, most of them were Southerners too.
Amazing how many "conservatives" couldn't see it simply because its Southern and they couldn't see past their regional bigotry.
Professional Historians are academics: public sector leftists, with few exceptions.
public sector = Federally-subsidized.
“So I ran the idea by her and she responded if the correct response is to ban everything that touched slavery, then we would need to move to an undiscovered island.
More like we would have to move to a new planet as slavery was not created by Americans, but after years of engaging in the sin of slaver, as many other nations did and horrifyingly still do, the U.S. fought a war and abolished slavery.
Our founders were born into slave ownership as many other folks were born into slavery. They were men of their time, not saints from today. <sarcasm)
But that’s good bigotry, and they won’t be shy about telling you as much.
Their next move is to torch Monicello since it personifies slavery.

It’s going to eventually happen no matter what we say here.

Indian tribes continued to hold slaves in Indian Territory after the Civil War.
