Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has some advice for most Facebook users: Delete your account.
The millionaire, who co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs, recently said that a lack of privacy is his main concern regarding the Menlo Park, Calif. company and Big Tech in general.
There are many different kinds of people, and some [of] the benefits of Facebook are worth the loss of privacy, Wozniak told TMZ, which spoke with the tech mogul at Reagan National Airport in D.C. But to many like myself, my recommendation is to most people you should figure out a way to get off Facebook.
Wozniak deleted his Facebook account back in March 2018, shortly after news broke about the Cambridge Analytica data scandal...
He continued: But, everything about you... I mean, they can measure your heartbeat with lasers now, they can listen to you with a lot of devices. Who knows if my cellphones listening right now. Alexa has already been in the news a lot."
So I worry because youre having conversations that you think are private... Youre saying words that really shouldnt be listened to, because you dont expect it. But theres almost no way to stop it, Wozniak said.

Most people should have never joined. I never did.
I enjoyed FB, until my third suspension for not conforming to community standards.
I finally said FU to FB.
Don’t miss it at all.
Abandon Fecebook.
You are making Zuckerberg wealthier with each log in and he uses that wealth against US.
I’m now 4 months off of Facebook and I never thought that would be possible! Don’t miss it very much and I’m really surprised.
FB was the camels nose under the tent flap. What they can do is really minimal. The real spy stuff is the cellphone, wearables that are Bluetooth connected and in-home listening devices like Alexa. These tech items are where they can gather data without you knowing.
Good for you!!
I can’t understand people getting all excited about Alexia, Google home, Amazon whatever.
Would you invite a total stranger into your home and let them record all the goings on?
Best way to delete the account is to have it deleted. Pick a day when everyone says something either: 1) racist 2) sexist 3) homophobic. Nothing left to offend.
Duuuh, even my cats know better than to have a fb account.
When will some Freeper, who is addicted to Facebook defend FB as one of the wonders of our world.
I had no need for FB. I can count my friends on one hand, and my family as well. It’s much easier for me to call, visit, or email them. I have an acquaintance who lived across the street from us in the 50’s, that I email. She said she’s gotten calls from someone claiming to be her grandson, and she knows they got the info off FB. I worked 25 years in uniform in Corrections. I don’t trust much, and am extremely skeptical, and question everything. You have to be nowadays.
small issue
Sometimes i go through my timeline and share a lot of the posts I like. i can post a lot in a short period of time. I have received 3-4 warnings, I am posting too fast and made be blocked from doing so. Twice I was blocked for 24 hours.
Each warning i have replied and asked what is the standard. I have never received an answer.
I was warned again about 3 weeks ago and continues to post a Is always did. This morning, after staying off social media for 3 days, I did my thing. No warning, I was blocked. i could do everything but share with the public of specific individuals.
I replied what is the standard? No response. So, it’s like getting a speeding ticket and not knowing the speed limit. Not only is FB stifling political speech, it is poorly managed.
Not participating in FB and making sure everyone I knew aware that I wasn’t playing, period. Was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made.
Six years. Got on when a child joined in college, to see what it was about. Interesting at first, reconnecting with many past acquaintances.
Then, the food pics, political rants, drama queens, attention seekers. And the games your friends wanted you to join in - good grief, get a life. L
Last straw was the facial recognition data harvesting Is this you? Is this your friend Joe? Bad juju, that. Shouldve scared off most people. But...
52 years facebook free!

Me either. But they still track us.
I’m still using a landline. The only window into my privacy is my desktop computer — and I must admit that its a bit disconcerting how I can search for something like turmeric supplement, and then all these ads for turmeric supplements keep popping up.
Bottom line: Use technology, don’t let it use you. I’m happy with no smartphone, no tablet, no Alexis, just the minimum I need to get the news, especially here on Free Republic.
