After the United States Women’s National Soccer Team’s (USWNT) won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup for the fourth time, co-captain Megan Rapinoe and midfielder Allie Long can be seen disrespecting the flag.
Long dropped the American flag on the ground to do a choreographed celebration with Rapinoe and co-captain Alex Morgan. While posing for the cameras, Long and Rapinoe dragged the American flag with their feet after it was on the ground.
Midfielder Kelley O’Hara quickly picked up the flag after it was beginning to be dragged along Long and Rapinoe’s feet.

I’m disgusted with all the posters who want to paint the entire team as anti-American when there is evidence to the contrary.
We ought to be celebrating them instead of condemning them.

No offense, but I’ve heard from no one on that team uttering anything but agreement with the group of idiots on the team. We’ll see how others react now that they are individuals with the event is over and with access to microphones at will. Not holding my breath that we hear any condemnation of the anthem disrespect or political nonsense going on before and throughout the tournament.

And they all wonder why the stands are empty and they aren’t making big money when they act like this and only one person of a 20 plus person team was willing to make a statement they were wrong. And the bad part is, she never spoke up before and didn’t stop the problem from reaching our youth with this political manure. If only one is going to do it, and she’s late with the act, then is it worth it to anyone but the players?
