In the #MeToo era, it’s time to revisit Ted Kennedy’s legacy
NY Post ^ | 20 July 2019 | Maureen Callahan

Three significant anniversaries passed this week.

Only two have truly been noted.

First, of course, is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing on Saturday, July 20. The second was the 20th anniversary of the deaths of John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife Carolyn Bessette and her sister Lauren Bessette in a small plane Kennedy was flying to Martha’s Vineyard.

Only one of those deserves the hagiographic treatment both have been given, but I’ll get to that later.

The third was also a 50th anniversary, one that passed just two days after JFK Jr.’s and was, in many ways, related.

What could it be, Kennedy-worshipping-national-news-media? What could it be?

A RAT has to be dead at least 10 tens before the media can start telling a little bit of the truth about them.

Only 9 more years for “Song Bird”.

I knew immediately what had happened, so there’s no need for me to revisit the sot. I’ll leave that nonsense for the clueless media. The only question I still have is how much did it take to buy off the family of Mary Jo Kopechne.

Chappaquiddick Speaks

I find this to be the best explanation so far.

Teddy had a drunk driving accident going too fast, thought he'd killed the girl. They turned it into a missed turn accident, to hide his culpability, and explain the body. But they turned an accident into a murder, because she wasn't dead yet.

Story of money & privilege.

We will never know how much the kopechne family was paid to be silent.

And I’m sure there were other payoffs too. Ted and Mary Jo were in a party at a house with six men and six women. Have any of those people who are at the party that night ever spoken to police or the media? I do recall that they were all evacuated from that Island before law enforcement could talk to them. It would not be surprising if they had been paid off to never speak to the media about anything they knew about that night.

Just another drunk, woman abusing, leftover, dimwitted son of a failed, falsely praised, ruinously corrupt criminal family.

Fredo Corleone, Jeb!, Rahm Emmanuel, Chris “Kooomo”, Ivar the Boneless, etc.

Sorry Michael, shoulda plugged Fredo right after the ambush.

Yes the Boiler Room Girls have been conspicuously silent over the years.

“... it’s time to revisit Ted Kennedy’s legacy..”

The only thing I want to revisit is this filth’s grave to make sure he’s dead.

Mary Jo, was just the apex of a long history of Ted coverups. When you figure evading the police, numerous drunk driving arrests, cheating at Harvard and getting an early discharge from the military, and cheating on his wife numerous times, its amazing that this fat drunk could survive as long as he did.

The article is engaging and educational. Maureen Callahan is a fiery and brave journalist (in the now rare mold of traditional journalism).

I used to think so. Until I read her Trump hate-fest columns. She must be a NYP diversity hire.

paid off

It's disgusting that most people can be bought. Obama and Clinton were masters at it.

#MeToo is a joke.

That scumbag is responsible for opening the door to immigrants from shithole countries and limiting white immigrants. He should rot in hell.

Yep, hitting the bars in Palm Beach. If I recall correctly, Uncle Teddy was bar hopping with his nephews the night of the William Kennedy Smith rape.

Sorry, alleged rape, I know he was acquitted. I need to check with Whoopi as to whether it was “rape rape” he was on trial for.
