BTW, while sympathetic to the possible claim (on the senator’s statement only at this point) that she is experiencing medical problems, having a difficult pregnancy and being poor does not constitute a legitimate case for asylum under any reasonable definition of the concept. In the end, Senator Wyden’s use of the woman and her medical difficulty is a sham, a false appeal to emotion.
He mentions hundreds or thousands who (we presume) might be in similarly difficult circumstances (medically). Let’s put a number on it for discussion purposes. Say, 5,000? No, make it 10,000. There have been over 600,000 apprehensions for illegal entry on the southern border just since the beginning of the year. (Even more have actually crossed since ICE cannot intercept and arrest all ILLEGAL border crossers.)
What does the senator have to say about the remaining 99.98% of border violators?
Arrest him for aiding and abetting. As the Dems like to say, “No one is above the law.” Not a President and certainly not a US Senator.
And while we are at it, reeducate the ICE agents about not being intimidated by a grandstanding senator/congressional representative. (I’d say congress man or congress woman but Democrats are opportunistcally gender-fluid, so let them stew in their own juices.)

So now that a sitting federal representative has done this, they can release and drop charges against the 16 Marines from Camp Pendelton. Or arrest the politicians doing this.

I would like to know how a scumbag, bottomfeeding “senator” from Oregon found out that a Mexican woman in Mexico was having a “difficult pregnancy” and why he thought that white doctors in AMERICA could do better than Mexican doctors in Mexico. This clown has committed a crime and should be arrested.
In this case, we have a specific linkage between a U.S. citizen and a family of illegals. Wyden should be personally liable for the costs of their stay. In perpetuity, if they never return to Mexico.
Hopefully they are all living in the Wyden residence.
His wife is a multi-millionaire, he can pay for the medical care and trip back.

I gave up having health insurance.
And even with a couple of serious illnesses and a broken arm and dental procedures I still figure I’ve saved $10,000 per year
This year I was sick for 4 weeks- I paid $200 for a doctor visit and $90 for antibiotics. That has been my total expenditures for medical this year.
Before Obamacare my health insurance was $3500 a year. After it was $12,000 with a $6,000 deductible. So I would have to pay $18,000 out of my own pocket before they ever covered one cent.
I’m getting older and expect to have more, but I eat healthy and exercise and try to be careful, in order to minimize medical costs.
When the time comes, I’d rather die at home than in a hospital owing $100’s of thousands.

Anyone sponsoring an immigrant who collects welfare benefits before becoming a legal permanent resident could be on the hook for the bill. That’s according to a new presidential memorandum set to be released Thursday by the White House.
President Trump will sign the memorandum directing federal agencies to ensure that any individual sponsoring a noncitizen must take financial responsibility for any income-based welfare benefits that immigrant receives.
Senator, do your job and you wouldn’t have to grand stand.
