Authorities are investigating the social media posts made by the suspected gunman in a California festival shooting that killed three people and injured more than a dozen others in an effort to determine a motive in the attack.
Gunshots rang out Sunday just before 6 p.m. local time at the popular Gilroy Garlic Festival in the city of Gilroy, some 80 miles southeast of San Francisco.
Santino William Legan, 19, was identified as the alleged shooter on Monday, law enforcement sources confirmed to ABC News.

They provided no examples of this so-called "White Supremacist Messaging".
I did an internet search of the phrase and nothing came up.
In my opinion ABC was trying to make Legan into a white supremacist without any evidence at all.
ABC is manufacturing a narrative that doesn't exist.
But they said it on air so thousands of people heard it, believe it, and will repeat it.
I just came on to FR to ask the same thing. I returned home from work to read all the white supremacist garbage then see the shooter was half Iranian who hates whites. I’m confused at this point.
Earlier articles I saw cited an anti-Christian text/author.
In quite a number of these cases the shooters are anti-Christian bigots who go out of their way even asking their victims to denounce/deny Jesus Christ.
The first lie will circle the globe in minutes.
The truth will take much longer.
In the meantime, watch the Capitol One advertisements and think about how many folks have your data.

Anti-Christian and anti-Jew messaging, but they don’t want anyone to think this was jihad, because he wasn’t a classically trained jihadist.
Obviously a White-Iranian...
This is no proof of this.
ABC News did not cite any text, photo, or meme to prove "White Supremacist Messaging".

Legan also posted about a fringe white supremacist book written in 1890. Noted indivualist anarchist, revisionist historian and Holocaust denier James J. Martin called, the book, one of the most incendiary works ever to be published anywhere. Legan quoted from the book in a post accompanied by a Smokey the Bear sign about fire danger.
Legan wrote: Read Might Is Right by Ragnar Redbeard. Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white twats? Mestizos is a term used to describe someone of mixed descent, but specifically white and Hispanic and/or white and Native Indian. He appeared to have used it in a derogatory manner.

First published in 1890, it heavily advocates egoist anarchism, amorality, consequentialism and psychological hedonism. In Might Is Right, Redbeard rejects conventional ideas of human and natural rights and argues that only strength or physical might can establish moral right (à la Callicles or Thrasymachus). The book also attacks Christianity and Democracy. Friedrich Nietzsche’s theories of masterslave morality and herd mentality serve as a clear inspiration for Redbeard’s book written contemporaneously.
...The Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey and white supremacist publisher Katja Lane (wife of The Order member David Lane) both believed noted novelist Jack London was substantially involved, if not the author of the entire book; the latter based her judgment on London’s distinctive grammar and punctuation.[4][5] However, Jack London scholar Rodger Jacobs said, “the notion is as ludicrous as suggesting that the author of ‘White Fang’ was a cross-dressing hermaphrodite who buried his sexual shame in manly exploits”.[4] London was born in 1876, so he would have to have written the book in his early teens in order for it to be first published in 1890.
The Monist journal states that “Ragnar Redbeard is a most ardent admirer of Nietzsche.”[6]
The author sums up his work as follows:[6]
“This book is a reasoned negation of the Ten Commandmentsthe Golden Rulethe Sermon on the MountRepublican PrinciplesChristian Principlesand “Principles” in general. It proclaims upon scientific evolutionary grounds, the unlimited absolutism of Might, and asserts that cut-and-dried moral codes are crude and immoral inventions, promotive of vice and vassalage.”
...Leo Tolstoy, whom Might Is Right described as “the ablest modern expounder of primitive Christliness”, responded in his 1897 essay What Is Art?:
The substance of this book, as it is expressed in the editor’s preface, is that to measure “right” by the false philosophy of the Hebrew prophets and “weepful” Messiahs is madness. Right is not the offspring of doctrine, but of power. All laws, commandments, or doctrines as to not doing to another what you do not wish done to you, have no inherent authority whatever, but receive it only from the club, the gallows, and the sword. A man truly free is under no obligation to obey any injunction, human or divine. Obedience is the sign of the degenerate. Disobedience is the stamp of the hero....
It sounds like dogmatic atheism
The kid is the grandson of one of the original Shia radicals in Iran.
He was a close ally of the Nazis.
A union of Nazi and Shia is not uncommon.
That doesn't mean he hated whites.
Even white supremacists may hate Silicon Valley whites.
He also didn't like "mestizos."
Things are complicated.
Like with the Charlottesville killer who was half-Jewish and fascinated by Nazis.
Both killers had some very troubled characters in their families and were more messed-up than consistent adherents of some ideology.
The Main Stream Media is a 100% Democrat Propaganda Organization. They will spin any story to push the narrative that Trump, and his supporters, are evil. So don't be confused by their reports - they are just doing what they do. If you have an option - watch OANN for the National news.
Regarding the assailant, my take is that he was just a crazy nutjob. I heard that he had some Facebook (or other posting) that showed 'Islamic scrawls' in the background - but I don't think that meant anything more that the guy was messed up in the head, and trying to be provocative. My interactions with Iranian/Persian Americans in Silicon Valley (or just plain Iranian/Persians living in America) is that they do not want to talk about religion. Probably due to their home country having been pretty badly damaged by the islamic zealots.
I don't think so. As a California resident it would be illegal for him to buy or posses an “assault-type” rifle in California. Therefore it is against Federal law to buy the rifle out of state and bring it back to Cali. If he bought it from a dealer, that dealer is in a world of hurt, if he bought it from a third party, it's still illegal, and the seller will have some ‘splain’ to do.
Was or was not this guy a Muslim?
Of the 36 mass shootings in the two weeks prior to Gilroy all of the shooters were gentlemen...

True. You can see the _________ push this every day at Yahoo. A lot of their commenters.
Have we learned if he was a psychiatric patient, or if he was on any kind of medication?
