We should immediately pass Voter ID @Voteridplease to insure the safety and sanctity of our voting system. Also, Paper Ballots as backup (old fashioned but true!). Thank you!

Also, Paper Ballots as backup (old fashioned but true!). Moscow Mitch is blocking a bill from the House that would require paper backups. Talk to him.

I said this yesterday on a Free Republic post. Wonder what Trump’s FR handle is.

I’m surprised that he didn’t already call for ID laws.

Its not the paper ballot portion of the legislation that is objectionable. Do you take rat poison when its offered with sugar for your coffee?

A few years ago I went to Town Hall to complete an absentee ballot, knowing that I'd be out of state on Election Day. When asked my name I responded "do you need to see my ID?". The clerk was shocked by my question. I noticed her discomfort and asked something like "Well, how can you be sure of my identity? And how can you be sure that I'm even eligible to vote?".
She informed me that in Massachusetts it was illegal for any government official to demand proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate, etc) when registering someone to vote.
I kid you not, boys and girls!!!

Thank-you Mr.President. God Bless!

Minnesota is worse. We have same day registration with no Id.

Great! But have the senate write the bill with no poison pills and maybe we can make some progress.

Funny that you can’t use the same logic on the purchase of a rifle, with no form of ID.
To: DoodleDawg
That’s because elections are conducted by the states, there is no federal election. He believes it should remain that way. He’s following the Constitution, not Moscow

Washington state has gone to day of election registration. So how do you verify citizenship?, I asked. A sound of crickets followed.
