This apparently applies just the primary ballot and not the general election. I see federal lawsuits in the near future.

A bill targeting one individual alone? That looks like a violation of the United States Constitution.

I wonder if it’s ever occurred to Democrats that it might not be Trump that has something to hide on his tax returns.

There is a serious Constitutional issue here.

The Gov is wasting taxpayer time and money with this, but what does he care? TDS.

So another Republican can win the primary, but then Trump’s name is added to the general ballot as an afterthought? That’s just wrong. I hope this gets settled by the courts before the primary.

I guess there are no real problems in California if the governor has time to Richard around like this.

California taxpayers must really appreciate how he spends his time.

Maybe he could go to the libraries and hand out candy at the transvestite gatherings.

Trump wont win CA even if he was on the CA ballot, same with NY.

This would give Trump ammo to challenge the popular vote if he wins re-election in 2020.

I see federal lawsuits in the near future.

Big time.

"A bill of attainder (also known as an act of attainder or writ of attainder or bill of pains and penalties) is an act of a legislature declaring a person or group of persons guilty of some crime and punishing them"

This punishment is for the crime of not releasing tax returns when illegally demanded by the State of CA, which is itself a crime on the part of CA.

If the electors of the EC representing CA support this I wonder if their votes could be thrown out?

.

This is unconstitutional and will be knocked out by the federal courts, I suppose.

If not, it sets up the President to say he would have “won the popular vote too” except he was illegally kept off the ballot in vote-rich California by an infestation in the state legislature.

I see federal lawsuits too.

Plus to require it of a primary and not of independents seems unfair.

The requirements to run for President are listed in the Constitution. I don’t know if states can have separate requirements.

How about making sure candidates for President are natural born citizens as required by the Constitution?

Kamalalala Harris is NOT.
