Not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that professional sports is a BUSINESS. They have profit margins and expenses just like a normal business. As such, they can be influenced just like any other business.

When the new park opened up I shared season tickets. I could time my parking with an emptying lot close to the park. Loved the place. Then, you could still safely walk from the Inner harbor to Little Italy and have some seafood pasta at Sabatino's. (Hell, in those days you could order a nice cigar with an after dinner brandy.)
But shit.... I would never go near Baltimore these days. Folks have been robbed and/or gunned down trying to walk to Little Italy. Baltimore can cram it.
