Although Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony may not have been a summer blockbuster, it confirmed the damning conclusions of his report. The investigation revealed substantial evidence that President Trump obstructed justice. And that the Special Counsel did not exonerate him.
Trump claimed victory. He seems to think that Mueller’s performance wasn’t enough to trigger an impeachment inquiry. Sorry, Mr. President, the question is no longer whether the House should vote to proceed with a formal impeachment inquiry. The inquiry has already begun.

I think the Senate will allow the Trump team of lawyers to play out a Trump strategy. This isn’t going to be a two-week episode (at least I doubt it)...it’s going to go on for four to five months, and they are going to subpoena dozens of Obama-team members, and have them under oath. I suspect even Obama will be brought in. When the smoke clears at the end....the GOP will vote down the impeachment, but a fair number of Obama folks will be going to federal court on charges. Any hope of getting positive things out of this for the Democrats? You can forget about this...it’ll bring the country to view this whole thing as one giant conspiracy....all leading back to various Democrats.
The left thinks that impeachment charges will pull moderate Conservatives away from Trump. It won’t.
The left also wants the historical record to show that impeachment changes (successful or not) were brought against PDT so the Russian collusion scam narrative will live on forever.
