I think Battiste is a pretty good guy. We’re not friends or anything, but I’ve known him for many years. He can’t be expected to change a culture. They do usually catch the perpetrators, but almost inevitably they have a rap sheet pages long. Battiste, Barber, and DA Ashley Rich have all complained that our judges have a catch and release policy.

I’m sure Chief is a pretty good guy but that’s not what we need now...we need a mean SOB to lay down the law not a community apologist type. Some people won’t even leave their homes... and I don’t blame them, with shootings every night...
