United States President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter, Monday, "I know nothing about an Air Force plane landing at an airport (which I do not own and have nothing to do with) near Turnberry Resort (which I do own) in Scotland, and filling up with fuel, with the crew staying overnight at Turnberry (they have good taste!). He was responding to reports about where Vice President Mike Pence stayed during a recent trip to the United Kingdom. Federal employees can use a federal service to get hotel stays. Any hotel on the approved list typically has a deep federal discount and is approved for use.
It means nothing for a federal employee to stay at an approved cheap place.
