Hats off to Gov. Tony Evers for calling out Wisconsin legislative Republicans' position on guns for what it is BS.
Evers made his blunt assessment after GOP leaders Robin Vos and Scott Fitzgerald, dutifully followed by their submissive colleagues in the Assembly and Senate, announced they had no intention of even considering Evers' proposals to address what has become a national crisis.
In the wake of the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings and calls from the public that government officials do something, Evers proposed that Wisconsin enact a universal background check procedure and pass a red-flag law that would establish a process for a judge to remove guns from a person determined to be a threat to themselves or others

Determined by whom?
remove guns from a person determined to be a threat to themselves or others.
Determined by whom? ..............................
If such persons are a threat, hospitalize or incarcerate them. Problem solved and no new law needed.
Bingo.
And:
- what medical training did they receive?
- Are they licensed to practice medicine?
- what standard of care have they applied?
“Red flag” laws empower people who have no business practicing medicine to take away the rights of citizens and provide no recourse for the citizen to receive compensation for the violation of their rights.
I further submit that laws already exist to arrest those that communicate a threat or actually threaten others. Further, there are procedures and laws that already cover how a mentally ill / dangerous person can be committed.
This has nothing to do with red flag laws or background checks.
Publicly execute anyone irrefutably identified as committing a crime with a firearm within 48 hours of conviction.
Well, there's always that.....
What “national crisis”? This is the whole problem with the Left they start out with a false premise that has to be debunked fully before one can even debate their true agenda and squash it.
Answer: The All Knowing, All Powerful State, that’s who. As long as Liberals/democRATs/Communists are running things, that is.
Now be a good little Serf and surrender all of your God given rights.
I don’t support that at all.
Why not?
Even the experts screw up. All the time. I once was the OIC of a MEDDAC ER. A First Seargeant brought in an E-6 that worked for him after hearing him say he was going to kill his wife who had asked for a divorce. The soldier would not even come into the ER to sign in as a patient. The 1st Sgt. asked me what can we do so I called an 0-5 Psychiatrist to come evaluate him. The psychiatrist and the soldier talked for about 15 minutes in the driveway and the Psychiatrist pronounced he was OK, we can let him go. I insisted the psychiatrist write something down before he left even though it was all done outside. The soldier drove straight to the house and stabbed his wife to death. The psychiatrist retired the next day. That was the last I ever heard of it. Nobody even talked to me about it. So I am more than a little bit skeptical of a psychiatrist being able to predict what someone will do.
Do you know how many crimes there are that one could be charged with related to a gun?
Do you want to execute people open carrying where people don’t want them to?
Execution is for capital murder.
Let’s not become tyrannical madmen while trying to solve a symptom of the problem of life has no value.
Eddie01, you are correct the “gun LAWS” have nothing to do with protecting anyone. IT IS ALL ABOUT CONTROLLING THE POPULACE. Without guns, what personal protection do we have against a socialist, communist, nazi government?
Hopefully President Trump will not go along with this NEW/old idea from the democrats of taking away our guns and ammunition.
Frankly, I think they should make murder illegal! /S
