The deepest roots of California’s two-tier society lie in the traumatic evolution of the state’s economy in the 1980s and 1990s from an industrial base to one rooted in services and technology, and the state’s concurrent absorption of millions of often undereducated immigrants.

Highest cost of housing, highest cost for electricity, highest cost for gasoline, highest number of illegal immigrants. What could go wrong?

I didn’t notice any mention of what the poverty line is in California. I think it’s over 30,000 for a family of four.

Those people have worked very hard to achieve that status. Give them their due credit.

“and the state’s concurrent absorption of millions of often undereducated immigrants”

But Twosome Newsom wants more!

Millions and Millions more!

And he says I’ll just outlaw rent increases and that way everyone will have a cheep place to live....except they won’t because no one will invest and his buddies wont issue building permits anyway!

But we all know what happens next!

The Grapes of Wrath solution - government housing, like the Pajaro Valley! “Free” housing, built with other people’s money!

Because that worked out so well in the Soviet Union, Cabrini-Green, the Bronx...and of course Watsonvile, Corralitos, Santa Cruz (where Adrian Gonzalez got built in victims!), and “beautiful” Salinas and King City with the “farm worker” barracks.

What would California Leftists do without desperate people to use as props?

Of the 18.2%, about 17% are illegals, newly arrived.

Side Note: 2/3 of the nations welfare recipients are in CA.

Hey California, Mississippi is laughing at you.

BTW, I can remember when the abbreviation for California was Calif. We got the two letter designations after Calif. became known as Come And Live In Florida. Now CA stands for Can’t Afford.

If Trump really wanted to help California Out and fix the poverty and homeless crisis, he would send 2000 ICE Agents and begin rounding up and deporting the 1.5 MILLION Illegal Aliens just in Los Angeles. Housing Crisis over i one week, massive Slumlord Bankruptcies, Rents cut in half or more, Freeways and Streets suddenly have no traffic, oh and by the way the entire Greater Los Angeles Area would be CRIPPLED and Most Businesses would be CLOSED for Good. All of this would happen in less than 30 days.

Deport every last illegal and visa overstayer and CA would fair much better. So would the rest of the US.

national median of $63,179 -- Oh, come on. We raised two kids and sent them to college on our dime (this decade grads) on half that, paid off the mortgage and have no debt. The thing that kills the budget are the taxes which would go waaay down with deportations.
