I do not take Lyme Disease lightly. A friend of mine died by and large due to his contraction of Lyme disease. After ten years in pain and declining quality of life he walked out into his back yard with his pistol and shot himself in the head. He was 72.

“Plus I always have a few cans of Deep woods off or Cutter around.”

Add Picaridin to your supplies. It’s just as effective as DEET based products and doesn’t stink. It comes in liquid or lotion form. We prefer the lotion.

We’ve been using it all summer. It works.

You are right. Tick diseases are serious. They can kill you or cripple you for life. I am so sorry your brother was a victim of ticks and incompetent doctors. I am dealing with untreated tick illness and am miserable beyond description. This is a no joke situation. The deer population has exploded. They are serious vectors for ticks. We also have “Bobcat fever” here that is tick-borne. It is killing our pet cats. In fact I am treating one of mine now. Highly fatal disease. Used to never see it, now it is rampant. Dogs are dying or being diabled by tick infections same as humans. Something is going on.

thanks for the tip
I had never heard of it before.
Sawyer(the same company that produces a permethrin spray) makes that too.

Yep. That’s the stuff. All our gear gets treated with Permethrin.

I had an excavation contractor working at my house last month digging stumps and moving boulders. I noticed his clothes(long sleeve shirt and cargo pants) had labels that stated they were both treated with permethrin. I think he said he gets them from Cabela’s.

Nasty stuff, although if caught early (like my sister did), can be dealt with. If not caught early, it’s one nasty pile of crap (i.e., symptoms) to have to live out life with.

Recently researchers have discovered that infected people also have sleeper cells of Lyme disease and if the medical treatment is successful and not continued beyond the apparent cure, the diseae can come back when these sleeper cells become active. -tom

Yes, the nasty little organisms that cause some of the tick illnesses form a “biofilm” around themselves and hunker down in the tissues once the threat has ended, that is the antibiotic treatment has ended. If the duration of treatment is not sufficient then illness will likely return. Usually on going “full nuclear” is needed. Very hard on the human as well.

You should look up the Kentucky Lyme Association on the net. Best source of info on fighting Lyme complex.

I contracted Lyme this year and after the two week Doxycycline protocol my symptoms just got worse.

I followed info I found online at the Kentucky Lyme Assc and now at last am back to normal.

If you were unlucky enough to contract the weaponized complex the doxycycline will not be able to cure it completely. As one Doctor who specializes in Lyme complex recommends, you must start with the big bugs and work downwards. Complex can come with round worm, and the other parasites can hide from the Anti biotic inside the parasites. First do a walnut hill, cayenne capsule (if you can tolerate it) and chopped garlic internal parasite cleanse for a couple of weeks.

Then do your round of doxycycline for three weeks. Also take sida acuta with cryptolepsys tincture to kill the bb. Both are anti malarial spirocete killers. Add Artisimean to help counteract the viral immune supressor.

And take a 1/4 inch dropper full of P73 oregano oil, two to three times a day. It is effective against the bioslime dormant form that the doxycycline is not.

Everything is available on Amazon except the doxycycline, that you have to buy from a pet supply as 100mg powder packets. Birddoxy...

Good luck, you need to take the sida acuta and cryptolepsys for 90 days. The entire life cycle of BB.

It comes in a liquid spray bottle. Just use it according to the instructions. Do NOT let your cat come in contact with the spray. It’s quite lethal to cats.

Sleeper cells are referred to as bioslime. It has no solid cell walls for the doxycycline to attack and is immune. A recent medical study discovered that Mediterranean Oregano oil is the most effective against it. I used P73 brand Oregano oil from north american herb and spice.

It tested to be over 100 times more effective than Doxy on the bioslime form.

What is happening is the Doxy clears out three of the four forms, then when the dosage is stopped some of the cell less bio slime morphs back to the cell wall form and begins to reproduce.

Incidious stuff Lyme.

I must have spurned the original poster into this. In another thread, I wrote:

Lyme disease was described in the 17th century. Ötzi the Iceman, a 5,300-year-old mummy, had lyme disease.

The OP came back with something about "lyme complex" whatever that is.

Original white settlers noted that New York and New England forests were teeming with ticks. They went about cutting down the forests and hunting the wildlife. Lymes was there, then laid low until civilization recreated the perfect environment for its vectors. People in Long Island were suffering from Lymes before Plum Island was established. It simply wasn't diagnosed correctly.

In the 18th century a Scotsman found the disease on an island off the Scottish coast. The bacteria and vectors have been with us for millenia.
