Fish too.
Do not spray around fish ponds/koi ponds etc.
The only cats around my house are bobcats.
Add in Lupus, niece live’s in the Smokies, and she has both Lupus and Lyme’s, the worst form of Lupus, her organs are beginning to fail. Lungs, Liver, Kidneys are all trashed. There has to be a better treatment than Plaquenil a anti-malaria drug to treat it, sure doesn’t do her any good. The Dizzy spells cause lots of Concussions. All it got her was labeled a Street Junkie despite never failing a P test.
Amusing? I contracted Lyme disease about 10 years ago. (I suspect it was while staying in a rustic cabin near Dingmans Ferry, Pa.) I had the tell-tale bullseye rash but was misdiagnosed. I then went to a specialist and was properly diagnosed and took the prescribed course of antibiotics. I was fortunate. So far, the only consequence I can attribute to Lyme is coming down with shingles about a year later. No harm done but really depressing. I was 42 years old.
You really should read Plum Island, Gold Coast, The Gate House, Charm School, Up Country, Night Fall and all the novels of Nelson DeMille. He's really good!
PFL
I may’ve read Up Country, just don’t remember. :-(
That means I have to read it again!
I knew a guy who got Lyme’s at least 20 years ago. It wasn’t caught early, and it completely changed his personality to the point of nearly breaking up his marriage. He had health problems galore, and this police detective had to retire early because of them. He died at age 60 only a couple of years ago. What a tragic waste.
If the government had anything to do with this, then there will be Hell to pay from the millions affected directly (sufferers and their families). That, of course, is why any such involvement (and there may have been none at all) would be denied and covered up forever.
It is beyond denial now..
Multiple whistleblowers.
Possums and yard birds (free ranging chickens and guinea fowl) love to eat ticks. Unfortunately dogs kill them for sport. So if your going to keep yard birds be prepared to shoot some dogs and fight with your neighbors.
Thanks for the information in #33.
One thing that strikes me as odd is naming this disease after a particular Town and stigmatizing that town.(Lyme Conn.)
They avoided that with Ebola, by not naming it after the village is was discovered in and named it for the Ebola river that flows through that area.
Like many Freepers in Eastern Mass. I know people who have had Lyme disease, and in one case no reason to have had it.
It must have more than ticks responsible for its spread.-Tom
Small potatoes. Wait until they weaponize ebola.
Blood to blood contact will do it.
