Beware the 'Right-Wing Media Machine'?

In the fall of 1998, House Republicans took special counsel Kenneth Starr's report on then-President Bill Clinton's impeachable conduct and launched an impeachment inquiry. The media elites roared in disgust. Then-NBC host Gwen Ifill quoted an unnamed (naturally) House Judiciary Committee member who compared the Starr report to a terrorist truck bomb dropped on the Capitol steps. Keith Olbermann compared mild-mannered Starr to Heinrich Himmler.

This -- and there's much more of it -- is worth rereading, as CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy is warning the public about a "right-wing media machine" that has demonstrated "zero willingness to abide by any traditional rules of engagement." That shameless "machine" opposing President Trump's impeachment and removal is, of course, composed of Fox News, talk radio, conservative websites and an "army of trolls" on the internet.

We're all shameless manure spreaders in the eyes of CNN (and its shrinking band of die-hard fans). "The next few months will test the power of this right-wing media machine," Darcy says. "To succeed, it will not only have to suspend reality for its audience, but also feed the millions who watch, listen, and read a counter-narrative to fill actuality's void." Trump's survival depends on this reality-denying machine, Darcy insists: "If Trump sees support on Fox or talk radio erode, it would help shift the tide and give Republicans wiggle room to turn on him."

That’s why they’ll publish Fake Polls showing impeachment gaining support among Republicans. The weak GOP sisters in the House and Senate better not believe this lie and vote against the President. They will lose the House and Senate, and there will be no Republican Party left.

He’s right about one thing Without the alternative media, the Republicans in congress would have turned on President Trump long ago. And the Gang of Eight would have had their way back in the day. Harriet Meiers would be seated on the supreme court. Etc.

I feel like holding up my right arm and saying “Heil Hitler” every time I see that network on. They are the ultimate example of state controlled propaganda!

First we fight the war of the narratives....

Controlling the narrative is a primary mechanism for the Mediacracy to control the country.

Other important tools have been:

The ability to determine what are important issues, and what are not.

The ability to determine what is a scandal and what is not.

The ability to determine who are acceptable candidates, and who are not.

Those powers have been used by the Mediacracy for 50 years in a general control of the country.

The UniParty knew that “just sex” would not get Clinton removed. It was Kabuki Theater, to appease the hicks in the hinterland: humiliation, not removal.

The RINOs protected Clinton from actual inquiry into something that would have gotten him removed: the trail of dead bodies in his long wake:

Kenneth Starr shut down Miguel Rodriguez in 1994 from investigating the death of Vince Foster as a murder tied to the Clintons. Rodriguez outlined his reasons in his letter of resignation.

Henry Hyde shut down David Schippers in 1998 from investigating multiple deaths - including that of Vince Foster - as murders tied to the Clintons; he did so the day after midterms. Schippers has lived in fear of Hillary Clinton ever since.

Starr was Swamp. Hyde was Swamp. The COP [Controlled Opposition Party] play the bad guy for the media and populace. It is simply their assigned role.

It is a UniParty.
