I’m happy the club is growing.
Okay, how about I (as a certified "good guy") declare that Julian Castro has been debunked?
(I suppose I could tell him to GFY, but this sounds SOOOO much more stylish.)
And stop in the act, as they start, rather than after they are done killing people?
For leftist firearm statisticians the devil is very much in the details.
I’m joining them soon. Have grandchildren to protect from drunk, illegal aliens, one of whom would have killed my daughter and unborn granddaughter had they been in their car the day he rammed it head-on (it was parked) and pushed the engine block into the steering column.
The Steering Column would have crushed both my daughter and unborn granddaughter to death (as determined by the police). The illegal fled, probably back to Mexico.
“....Julian Castro says the whole notion of a good guy with a gun has been debunked....”
Julian Castro has been debunked. He’s an racist idiot...but, of course, we all knew that.
I’d like to know how many folks got automatic weapon permits. That’s something that seems hush hush. ???
WOW!!
“Every chance I get, I try to encourage people to get their permits.
The more the merrier.”
If I had to choose between living where NO one has a gun or living where EVERY one has a gun I would not hesitate to choose to live where EVERY one is armed. I can still shoot so I might have a chance to defend myself with a gun but at 75 and having pulmonary fibrosis I no longer stand any chance in a fight without a gun. It is hell to be six four and weigh 235 with people telling you you look great and at the same time realize you no longer have the strength to take on a healthy man half your size.
Can you comment on this study? I had never heard of it before and it all seems completely ridiculous to me.
Back in the day, when Dinkins was mayor of NYC, I simply concealed and carried. Not any major piece, but I had to travel subway trains late at night, so I had to have something on me. Never used it.
The "studies" it cites are by anti-self defense partisans.
It only cites the National Crime Victimization Survey, while there are numerous other studies that contradict their conclusions. It ignores those.
Here is a good article with some citations that refute much of what was in the article at the link.
Thanks.
Found this too.
