Even as the topic of gun control continues to remain a focus in the Democratic 2020 presidential primary, more Americans than ever are believed to have obtained concealed carry permits.
In a report released this week, the Crime Prevention Research Center says there are now nearly 19 million Americans with permits to carry a concealed handgun – an increase of 1.4 million, or about 8 percent – from around this time last year.

How many of them were mass shooters? None.
How many mass shootings did they prevent? We will never know, because for some reason that is totally inexplicable to the left and the lamestream media, mass shooters always pick gun free zones where only people who obey the law are unarmed.
Nice to see some good news.
BUT, it's only after about 80 hrs. of instructor lead training that I'm feeling confident about my ability to manage an encounter under stress.
What about the states where no conceal carry permit is required, i.e., Constitutional Carry?
Where are the stats from the msm that show how many murders are committed annually {on a percentage basis} by legal CCW people?
How many murders by guns are committed by NRA members?
If NRA members and CCW people are so damn dangerous, where are the stats?

And, unless the gun in the picture is somehow invisibly holstered, this (belt carry) is NOT the safe and accepted way to carry a concealed piece.
In some of those States, citizens still get the permit so as to carry legally in less enlightened States which have a reciprocity agreement with their home State.
Example: West Virginia is a constitutional State. I still get the permit, so that I can legally carry concealed in Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and other reciprocal Shall Issue States. Maryland is hopeless.
Virginia will be as hopeless as the people’s republic of Maryland if the rats take over the legislature in November.

If Trump and the republicans weren't such douche bags on guns, we would be demolishing the commies gun control arguments, incentivizing through grants and the tax code gun ownership and training, and fining and suing any public official, with personal liability, for any 2A infringements. The 13 states that have it right need to be copied elsewhere and Trump should make that a national priority.
But he won’t.
TOO BAD that it was not TEN or a HUNDRED times that many new “carry permits”. = Imo, the MORE trained/armed civilians that we have, the LESS likely that ARMED CRIMINALS will be able to complete their VIOLENT CRIMES.
(CRIMINALS FEAR ARMED CIVILIANS more than they fear the police.)

As I recall, the FBI says about 8% of mass killers are stopped by citizens.

Every chance I get, I try to encourage people to get their permits.
The more the merrier.
Does the FBI have a statistic for the percentage that police stop?
I believe it was in the report.
As I recall, a few percent, once they go active.
But a fair amount are being pro-actively stopped. We cannot be sure how many would have been carried out, of that number.
