Oh, So That’s Who Trump’s Acting DHS Secretary Has Donated To For Years?

There are many reports floating around about the recent ICE raids. President Trump announced that a large-scale sweep would begin soon, but no details were offered.

Then, The Washington Post wrote about the planned raids, the cities where they would be conducted, and some 2,000 families that were targeted. The club that knew these details was very, very small.

Someone leaked it to the press, and some are pointing fingers at Acting Department of Homeland Security Director Kevin McAleenan. He reportedly did it to sabotage the operation, one that was not well received by former DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. It cost her her job.

Five sources spoke with Anna Giaritelli of The Washington Examiner. Besides McAleenan being accused of leaking, the DHS secretary was accused of caring more about what liberals and Never Trumpers thought of him than carrying out the duties of the agency. Not good, folks.

For a man who runs an agency tasked with securing our border, he’s donated for years to the one political party that’s made it known that enforcing immigration laws is not a priority: the Democratic Party. The president of the National Border Patrol Council says the acting DHS secretary should be considered anti-Trump. Giaritelli has more (via Washington Examiner):

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan, who was accused of sabotaging the Trump administration's deportation operation because of a personal opposition to the plan, has given for years solely to Democratic causes, according to federal records.

Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, wrote in an op-ed Monday that the secretary and his wife's donations only to Democratic politicians and organizations over the past 12 years could explain why McAleenan allegedly leaked a nationwide Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid to the media last week, forcing the administration to cancel the extensive undertaking after months of planning.

"He has proven his political leanings in his actions, including his campaign contributions," Judd wrote in a Fox News op-ed. "By definition, Kevin McAleenan should be considered anti-Trump."

Political donations are public records.

The executive branch hires thousands and thousands of employees. Trump cannot vet each one. On top of that, this is a concerted effort by the Lefties to invade and destroy.

Where do these guys come from? How do they get in these positions?

They've spend their entire political lives sucking on the government teat.

They have no interest in stopping terrorism. Every terrorist act (resultant from their failures,) brings them more money and powers. Terrorist are not a threat to these guys.

No, someone who wants to limit government, roll back regulations, trim government employees' gold-plated benefits cut government waste and cut bureaucratic fat - THAT is a threat to these guys.

That's why they are spying on Tea party members and Trump ...while people like the San Bernidino terrorists and the Tsarnaev brothers were ignored, even while the Russians were screaming at us to look at them.

Once you understand that dynamic, everything else makes sense.

>>>Who the hell does the vetting?

This is a downside to having all your cabinet as “acting.” They never have to go before the Senate for a vote, so the vetiing that would normally occur doesn’t happen.

>>>How did he manage to acquire and manage his empire without having good and loyal people working for him?

It’s not like he had a flawless business record. Some of his hires must have contributed to the multiple business bankruptcies. Maybe he doesn’t always hire the best as he claims.

I think the pool of honest Constitution defending candidates is extremely small.

Correct. The main purpose of the continual, deliberate war against Trump nominees is to keep qualified conservatives from wanting to work in the Trump administration. This leaves only Deep Staters, who, of course, are often already in the Department as career bureaucrats. So when Trump can’t fill a position like the head of DHS, the senior bureaucrat, a career swamp dweller, becomes the acting head of the department.

I “lived” in WDC for 34+ years and was a clinical psychologist leading a 15-doctor practice. There was a saying there: If you want a friend, get a dog. Never have I seen so many self-righteous, self-preening losers and yet-to-be-outed criminals in positions of responsibility and authority. The things I was told...

“why weren’t they just appointed to run HIS ESTATE, MONEY & PROPERTIES in the interim?”

I think he’s trying to pave the way for Ivanka to be first woman POTUS, and helping her by getting her involved in everything. He’s so fascinated with her. If wants a legacy involving his children, Ivanka would be the LAST one to choose.

Does he put these deep state operatives (DSOs) in there just to see how they behave? To root out relationships, sources and resources?

Why wouldn’t he? What does DHS do anyway? It’s a “W” admin invention.

That may very well be BUT I ‘understand’ she was still smoozing the Ds in the Hamptons etc BUT- then again- that may be all that is there....

We have some ‘grand’ idea that just because someone is the spouse of a CEO or whatever, the wife can just step into the top position because she ‘married’ well or correctly.

This naming a wife to the husbands seat if he dies in office ‘works’ because a good percentage will vote the ‘sympathy’ vote another percentage will say I didn’t realize HE was running again and the remaining diehards that would vote for the ‘party’ if Satan himself was running...

McAleenan allegedly leaked a nationwide Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid

Well he needs to be charged with aiding and abetting felons. A nice soap on a rope and long showers in Leavenworth seem appropriate.
