Thomas is the justice most loyal to the Constitution on the Court. I hope for his sake and ours that he enjoys a speedy recovery.

As if SCOTUS justices listen to arguments. They already know how they are going to rule before a case is ever brought before them. They go by their convictions and politics. What is presented before them is completelly irrelevant and has no impact on how they are going to rule.

Then if a replacement should be needed (God Forbid!), POTUS Trump could do so after winning the election. Think positive. We would in the year of Jubilee.

Jellyfish, and needing a few sharks.
It is HOPED POTUS is teaching (learn from example) at least a few of the yellow bellies the new rules of the game. It would be a blessing to find some spine here and there on our side of the aisle.

Well, take that up with other freepers. No my problem you believe shit you read on the internet—least of all FR. The “crowd” here thinks the Marine Corps have been “activated.”
I come here for the articles.

However, if he were to step down, it would be great if Trump could appoint a very young replacement with a similar judicial philosophy. Thomas is a giant. That would be a loss.

Theres no way the Democrats and Never Trumpers will let Trump name a replacement. Theyll say he is under impeachment proceedings (even tho he is not) and/or use the excuse that its too close to an election year. Like everything else the left touches, 'impeachment' has become meaningless to the point it's irrelevant.

Did they have Ginsburg’s cadaver propped up at the bench again?

I’d like it if Thomas recommended a set of potential replacements.
