I don’t think this is just an isolated leftist amongst a conservative Board. Leftists are like muslims in that once they have numbers they get cocky and let it all hang out. I suspect Dick’s management and perhaps its Board has a number of tree-hugging leftists which empowered this guy to do what he did.
Silly me, I thought it was the responsibility of publicly traded companies to protect their shareholders’ financial interests...
