[ As a NATO member, we are obligated by treaty to defend Turkey if they are attacked. ]

Stupid Treaties are WHY we ended up in WW-I which led to WW-II....

Screw it, stay out... We need to stop giving a shit and ignore out suicidal pathological altruism.

That’s only one side, by the way, and all of those nations’ descendants who have migrated to newer countries since the time of the prophecy.

[ President Trump spoke today about what it is like to be with the parents when the cargo plane unloads the bodies of our soldiers from these endless wars. Looks like he almost teared up describing it. Very touching....

Everything’s “fight fight fight.” As if that’s the only tool in the box. He promised to impose economic sanctions on Turkey. He ought to do that yesterday.

Do you always step in when you see a fist fight? Are referees obligated to pull hockey players apart? If two pitt bulls are fighting, do you break them apart?

What's the drill going to be with the Kurds/Turks? Is it like the historical Scotland vs England where they finally got sick of killing each other and "came to an arrangement" after hundreds of years?

It may be cold-hearted, but I say let them have at it. BUT, no interference. Read "The Guns of August" to appreciate the folly of military alliances....one stupid assassination and the world went down the treaty pit in a shower of blood.

That’s a good point. And the news sources of origin for political concerns like foreign relations are politicians, their wealthier constituents, government employees, contractors and recipients of pork. We each evaluate what we do know about an overall situation and try to guess as to where it will go.

For example, what are the tendencies of the various kinds of governments, including communist and fascist governments? Which nations are collaborating with which other nations, and what are they striving for? What is their direction? If they accomplish what they’re striving for, what will they do then?

The answer lies in a study of history without the foreign propaganda that has been disseminated through the Internet over the past twenty years or so. For example, look at the big picture of each of the recent world wars.

Here's one consideration that I'll throw in with the 2020 election in mind. Most of our countrymen aren't very outspoken about their opinions before election time. There's more to the U.S.A. than the cities in the northeast, Florida and the west coast.

Frankly, the Kurds have fought the Turks or anyone else since before the Hashishin took to the mountains and began the practice of political assassination as an appropriate measure. They’ve been Kamikaze-like for over 1,000 years.

Yes, they’re our allies, for now. But they have their own ideas about their own territory, which Turkey has been after for at least that amount of time.

To the extent that US forces were guarding ISIS prisoners is not a function our soldiers should be tasked with over the long term, at least IMHO. It’s a waste of time, money, and our men’s lives. Exception: GITMO.

I am almost to the point of wanting to revert to that ancient practice of having the leaders of two factions/countries suit up, duke it out, and decide the conflict in mortal combat. This could include political representation, too, depending on the importance. I don’t want a Hamburger Hill scenario played out with the lives of others’/underlings’ children. Do it your damselves.

The time approaches. Personally, I think that one happens before the Tribulation. LaHaye thought it was just before. Hard to tell. Though I doubt Israel will be burning weapons during the Great Tribulation.

I agree with you Ferris. I never understood how the Battle of Gog and Magog could take place during the Tribulation, and the Bible saying that Israel was burning the enemies weapons for fuel for the next 7 years.

It is far too late in history for the US to continue to struggle against the century-long bloodbath started by Woodrow Wilson.

The four empires he destroyed emerged organically over centuries. In the instant case, who can say that Northern Syria (the region, not the state) isn’t better off ruled by the Turks?

It’s meant to be ruled by somebody. Does anyone, any more, think that somebody should be us?

They armed them and gave them safe haven for years

Then it's probably safe to assume all those ISIS prisoners will soon be scattered to the wind.

If Erdie commits genocide, there are ways to deal with him, Turkey, and NATO, that don’t involve military intervention.

All parties are aware of this.

Since all parties are aware of this, then you have to ask why this is occurring. The answer is that this isn’t about the Kurds. The Kurds are just collateral damage in the war to take out Trump.

We need to get the hell out of NATO.

Thanks for posting. Couple questions.. how many gas pipelines are in this area? What is the proximity of them to Ukraine?
Quit watching fox years ago. I think this is all about pipelines and clearly democratic nepotism. Democrats and media are inbred... fox used to be the exception.

You need boots on the ground to defeat ISIS. SDF being these boots has allowed US forces to suffer only 8 deaths in Syria while the SDF suffered around 12,000.

Yes, unless they drag those weapons to Petra for fuel (during the last 1/2 Great Tribulation). Only 1/3 Israel will survive to reach that point, of course.

The time of Jacob’s trouble. That will be the big one (escaping to Petra). Some say it may apply to the whole 7 years. Could be.

Wilson’s Democrat campaign slogan in 2016 was “He Kept Us Out of War.” Afterwards, Germany attacked American ships and made an offer to Mexico.

Yes, and two of those deaths of U.S. personnel were not combat related.
