Many airlines are making efforts to be more inclusive. For example, earlier this year we saw airlines for the first time add a non-binary gender option when booking travel, including the option to select “X” as your gender (rather than “M” or “F”).
Air Canada is largely a progressive airline, and La Presse reports on an internal memo that has been sent to employees. Currently Air Canada’s flight attendants, gate agents, and pilots, refer to passengers as “ladies and gentlemen” when making announcements, but they’ll soon be updating their phrasing to be more gender neutral.

Well, I can’t say I’d classify a lot of fellow passengers as ladies and gentlemen; men and women, but not ladies and gentlemen judging by dress and behavior.
Oh, get over it Libs! Look in your pants and figure it out.

Not familiar with Air Canada, but since most treat you like cattle, I’d recommend “Head em up, move em out.”

I haven’t flown since 1998 and I hear free food and drinks are gone and now they’re gone totally insane , Come Fly With Us Nuts but we don’t serve nuts ,LOL

I’m sure they’re very “inclusive” when it comes to one of their employees disagreeing with the idea that a trans woman is a real woman.
I don’t think that it is so much about insanity, but about how very extremely petty and self serving that these sorts of people are. Likely, about 99.5 per cent (or more) of people on board an Air Canada or any other major airline in North America or Europe would have no issue or thought about “Ladies and Gentlemen”, but all it takes is those few people whose complaints are about on the same level as those who want a specific brand of peanut butter or a certain number of sprinkles on their doughnut.
Basically, these ones who you really would like to punch in the face and tell them to shut up (normally I don’t say this sort of thing here but I am really getting fed up with again the pettiness and smallness of these people).
You got that right. Low level trailer dwellers headed to the big city in their flip flops, crusty toenails, and bathroom stained Walmart shorts. And that's just their support mutts, horses and pigs.
I'm old enough to remember when humans had pride in themselves. It's hard to adapt to the current culture of mongrelization that eschews personal hygiene.
Add to the above a mongrelized culture that knows about as much courtesy and manners as they do Bible (zero on all counts), and we've got a positively painful experience.
Add to that the fags and preverts in TSA feeling people's privates ..... and let's all just stay home.
