Wallace. What d'ya expect?
The excerpt quoted here is part of a longer feature that drifts off into another story.
But my opinion is that we can see that Chris Wallace clearly should be over at MSNBC or CNN.

Gotta keep up the illusion that the GOP might vote to remove him so the House will vote to impeach.

"I talked to a very well-connected Republican in Washington this week," Wallace added.
"Somebody whose name you would know well...Yeah, yeah...we all already know where Mitt Romney stands.

What a bunch of BS. There may be Republicans that fantasize about voting for conviction in the Senate but in real life they would be banished to the back bench for decades. All one has to do is look at the slaughter that resulted from Nixon’s resignation to see what would happen. The media would be only to happy to push whatever narrative made the punishment worse/ longer lasting.

The Senate has become our very own House of Lords.
FWIW, I don’t trust a sodding single one of them.

So the Republicans in the Senate would remove one of the most successful presidents in decades ... because of SYRIA?
I swear some of these rumors must be put out there by Trump himself because it helps him make a strong case next year about the importance of draining the Swamp.

Actually, in the election after Watergate, Ford lost by a narrow margin.
It was by no means a slaughter.

Lot of impeachment talk, ZERO talk of what high crimes and misdemeanors have been committed.
It’s time to throw the bums out.

All Pubbie senators need to do is look at PDJT’s rallies and fund raising. Any one who dares even to consider voting to convict is sticking his/her head into a political guillotine and pulling the rope. Of course, Pubbie voters would be anxiously standing in line enthusiastically bidding for the privilege of pulling the rope.

LOL if the GOP votes to impeach it will be the end of the Republican Party it will cease to exist so this is total BS
