PG&E considering power shutoffs for portions of 17 counties (here they go again)
KCRA ^

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Pacific Gas & Electric Company is considering potential power shutoffs this week for portions of 17 counties, citing strong winds as the reason, the company said Sunday evening.

Extreme weather conditions and dry fuels projected to last about 18 to 24 hours on Oct. 23 and 24 may cause a Public Safety Power Shutoff to counties across Northern and Central California, according to PG&E.

Pravda does not do body counts. It would be defeatist. They will start applauding when the power is on, rather than announcing when it goes off...

Power shutoffs possible for thousands of SoCal Edison customers amid return of high winds

LOS ANGELES - More than 17,000 SoCal Edison customers may lose service as high winds and fire weather conditions are expected to return to Southern California this week.

Public Safety Power shutoffs (PSPS) are under consideration due to the potential of elevated fire risk, the electric supply company said.

I want to see a satellite picture of California in the dark.

Sort of looking like North Korea.

Is that wrong?

The grocery stores should mark down the price of meat and sell as much as they can before the electricity to goes down. When the electricity goes down all of the meat and milk will get tossed out. A huge waste of money that will get passed on to the insurance companies and eventually to the consumers.

Every time a CA county has it’s power turned off, Sacramento should have to cut off it’s power.

Two or three of those blackouts, the state leadership would probably outlaw toenail clippers, then back to business as usual.

This leadership is the absolute worst I’ve ever seen. Almost all the state leaders belong in a straight jacket. They seem certifiable.
