What is most ironic is New York State sits on top of the Marcellus shale which is the most productive source of natural gas in the United States. Coumo refuses to let it be drilled and fracked.
Just next door in Pennsylvania they also sit on this vast resource of which they have developed. Coumo refuses to let pipelines be built from Pennsylvania to New York. I hope this winter is obscenely cold and New York City suffers the idiocy of their governor. The good people of upstate New York whom are not of the same insanity as Coumo will also suffer. That part is sad.
Oddly due to Coumo’s rulings the good people of New York State will rely on heating oil that produces far more CO2 per unit of heat than natural gas.
Co2 is plant food and not a pollutant. Our earth has had multiple ice ages and brief warming period between. During these brief periods of warmth life and man flourished. During ice ages it was grim for life on earth. If geologic history is correct the ice caps will melt. On the other hand we may be in a brief warming period of an ice age and return to full ice age and much life will die. This has happened in the past.
Actually I hope we are really at the end of an ice age and the polar caps melt. Life will flourish on earth. If we are in just a brief warming period full ice age will return and life will be grim on earth.
If we are really at the true end of an ice age man will slowly retreat from the sea over thousands of years. It means nothing. In the middle of the North Sea are the Dogger Banks. Today it is a rich fishing area. A few thousand years ago it was low lying dry land and inhabited. The seas did rise and those people did slowly leave to higher ground. I will miss London. It will not happen in my time nor for many thousands of years. All the great buildings and history will have long since fallen from age and not an encroaching sea.
Never forget that the norm of the earth is ice age. Today we live in the exception. The exception is good. The norm kills life.

More than half the people in NewYork are too ignorant to understand why Cuomo’s request is insane.
They will keep voting for him.
