The only good news here is that the Spotted Owls are safe.
I assume.
If you have a Fire stick, look for the Mobro (sp?) app on there and they’ll usually have a live stream from the KTLA chopper flying over the fires.
It was cool watching the Air Tanker 10 (modified DC-10 airliner) doing a drop of Phos-Chek retardant ahead of one of the fires.
That does it. PG&E needs to cut off the power to the entire state and cement CA’s status as a third world country.
Sad. I grew up near there.
I dont recall ever seeing a wildfire in that area.

My sister & B-I-L home on Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg appears to be spared so far, but in extreme jeopardy. It appears the fire circled east around the town and is approaching 101 closer to Windsor. Prayers requested for all the area residents.
Perhaps if they shut off the electricity to the entire state for the next four months that will help.
I am in this tiny sliver, in the middle of Santa Rosa, that has power and is not under an evacuation order.
Good thing; between the fireworks I bring back from Montana and all of the reloading supplies (although tragically all the firearms suffered from a boating accident a few years back), it would be more of a danger zone than most.
Air quality is crap, winds are raging. My place of employment is in an evac zone and may, or may not be there when this is over; same for the wife. But since I’m a block away from a major hospital I’m in abetter place than most.
Very sad, I would not want to be a PG&E executive in this area right now.
180,000? Just wow. Where do 180,000 people go?
