It seems some of the trees would have burned in a forest fire, doesn't it?

“And, oh, how they hate admitting that.”

My experience is that they cannot. They would rather die, starving and freezing in the dark, than admit that they were wrong, and that the people that they hate and ridicule were right.

I doubt it.

Newsom will blame climate change and the liberal herd will blame Trump for pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord.

Facts mean nothing to liberal Democrats. They only believe 'narratives'.

Rush had a CA fireman on today and said it was against some CA law to clear the underbrush. Said it had something to to with protecting some critter or insect or something. The spotted owl on steroids I guess.

Doesn't PGE give lots of money to folks like Kameltoe and Gruesome?

Seems to me like fake outrage when the politicians huff and puff all over the state about these fires and power outages.

I don't believe PGE is that tightly regulated.

I'd bet my bottom dollar they're in cahoots and any outrage is theater for the masses.

My neighbor thinks Gruesome actually cares because he's doing meet and greets all over the state expressing his anger and outrage-as if he really cares about us peons out here in nolightsville.

He's just gearing up for 2024.

The only thing he's going to do is use all this disaster for photo ops and as an excuse for siging bogus laws laws that suck up our dollars in the name of climate change and the environment.

(spit)

Why haven’t forests been harvested?

The leftists will never lose their grip on California. There will just be a mass exodus of hardworking people, jobs and businesses. The remaining loons and illegal immigrants will continue to vote the leftists into office. California will spiral into a Venezuela like failed socialist state with empty shelves, blackouts and third world conditions in the cities.

The problem with liberalism is that eventually, people just don’t care or are too stupid to know how stupid their government is. It’s quite shocking.

Remember after the ‘hurricane of the century’ wiped out New Orleans and a wag commented that God had a sense of humor, building a city below sea level and filling it with Liberals?

Today R Limbaugh was musing over how the people of California have had these electric cars shoved down their throat and now are having some ‘trouble’ charging them during all the blackouts...

I do feel for the people of CA, especially the ones that don’t vote for these LIBs but it is hard to have any real compassion for those that keep voting the same old trash back in office...

I will wager that Jerry Brown has a generator out at his ranch and it uses a fossil fuel.

I read an article about Jerry Brown a couple years ago.

According to the article him and the missus just love going to a teeny tiny little off grid cabin that looks smaller than what the Unabomber had. I believe it’s in Colusa County near what was once a public recreation area-now closed due to fire.

I’d bet my bottom dollar it’s just the cover for the trapdoor into the doomsday bunker they’ll have to hide in if people actually whip out the torches, ropes, tar, feathers and pitchforks.

Doesn’t everybody remember the power blackouts of the 70’s.

Me neither.

That place is toast. So sad.

California is a beautiful place.

Building wind farms and subsidizing rooftop solar photovoltaic arrays. Clearly that’s much more important than that boring transmission and distribution line maintenance, upgrades, and vegetation clearing.

Number one this is a tree and brush management issue not a PGE line issue

Number two we had the Santa Rosa and Napa fires in 2017 which killed a bunch of people and then that horrible paradise fire in Paradise California which killed a bunch of people and the state of California said PG&E and they settled for about $63 billion

So now the utilities basically like fuck you were just going to turn off the power and not take any risks with fires anymore since you’re going to sue us if the fires happen

Who can blame them for this action? It makes complete sense if you’re in the business of providing power to people they won’t let you trim the trees around your powerlines because of environmental issues and then they see you for causing fires when they happen during Highwinds when it hasn’t rained for six months

Bottom line for us 1800s types our power was out for a week and I told the wife and the kids who cares? And we handled fine

It would be a lot biggger deal if it’s -20 outside! That’s for damn sure

IMO, when the ‘dust’ settles the power company must repair/replace old equipment and a mandatory forest management plan must be enforced.
