Smugglers in Mexico are SAWING through sections of Trump's 'virtually impenetrable' border wall (tr)

Smuggling gangs in Mexico have continuously sawed through President Trump’s controversial border wall using every day power tools, according the U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the incidents.

The security breaches, made with a popular cordless reciprocating saw that can sell for less than $100, has been used to open gaps large enough for people and drug loads to filter through.

When fitted with 'specialized' blades, the tool can break through one of the wall's steel and concrete bollards in just minutes.

The Washington Post reports that after slicing through a bollard, smugglers will push the steel out of the way, allowing an adult to fit through the opened space.

Even if true, then the Post thinks we should just let them all in. I say, OK. We’ll send them all to the neighborhoods of the Editorial staff and major columnists and flood their schools with these savages. How will that work out.

They should have consulted with the Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association before choosing a wall design.

Concrete and steel are sawed through every day all over the world.

"I'd prefer a bio-fuel moat."

Yeah.

Compartmented in 50 foot sections that could be remotely lit off.

Sadly I predicted this.

It was inevitable.

Temporary metal barrier I called it over and over, and was vilified for doing so.

We need Trumps Big Beautiful Wall.

See my 3 year tagline, unfortunately I don’t think it will ever come true.

Our children and grandchildren will have to fight this same fight all over again.

“The Washington Post reports...”
I stopped right there.

Amen to that.

This is Fake News. Sawing through concrete with a reciprocating saw is bull. Getting through this wall in minutes is a lie. Maybe a gas powered abrasive saw. But not in minutes and without water.

No one mentioned that the saws may be effective but the wall HAS slowed down traffic.

The only way the drug traffic will end is if Americans say NO to drugs. And we KNOW that will never, ever, ever, ever, ever ever, ever ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever ever, EVER happen.

Apparently Americans NEED drugs to feel good...maybe even to feel.

The breached walls were not completed and lacked the electronic deterrence systems.

I read no mention of a completed barrier system being breached....did you?

Your complaining amounts to the same thing as claiming an airplane will never fly when the engines haven’t even been installed.

I can think of some quick fixes for that.

Drones come to mind.

Arm them and use extreme prejudice.

"This is why the wall needs to be electrified."

One reason why it is not nor will it ever be electrified is it would be a rather easy way to "short' the electricity, making the fence easy to "jump"

I say this because we had a electrical fence used to keep cattle in fields we also used for crops(rotation) We had to keep the weeds and bushed trimmed because if too many touched the wires, it would in effect ground the flow and hence not be effective.

In the Gulf War our troops destroyed Saddam's electrical grid in much the same way the weeds stopped the electrical fence from working. But they used mono filament fibers released from bombs that connected their high powered towers to the ground disrupting the flow and shutting down the grid.

It wouldn't be too hard for the Mexican Cartels to figure out a way to do the same thing to the electrified "Trump Wall"

At any rate, what our President Trump has and is building is 110% better than what the democrats would do...They would stand there and wave them through, handing them election ballots and our money as they passed over the border...

Old steel matting walls would be easier. The idea of any wall is to delay until officers can get there.

Excellent thinking.
