He’s both, actually. During a national emergency on the border McConnell is current blocking Cuccinelli for DHS due to his role in the Senate Conservative Fund and its attempts to primary GOP Senators a few years ago.
McConnell talks about judges because he has little else to trumpet. His tenure as majority leader will go down in history as highly inconsequential.

Your mistake is assuming they are all conservative judges. McConnell and the Senate GOP have blocked several Trump nominated conservatives to other posts. Fed, DNI, now DHS, etc., etc.
Last term? That's it?! It's no wonder the left laughs at conservatives. If Trump is convicted in the Senate after being impeached, there had better be something more than just removing RINOs via the ballot box. It will be far too late to help.

That is exactly what is going on here. The coup is bipartisan in nature. When POTUS floated the idea removing the hopelessly recused Sessions he was publicly threatened by the GOP Senate not to do that. Never forget that. Never forgive that.

His appearance last night was really really off. His heart wasn’t in it. No energy, totally phoning it in. I don’t trust this guy one bit. Every one forgets he was a Democrat who switched so he could win. If he had his choice he would remove Trump in a second. Thank God he’s up in 20 because that might be the only thing that saves Trump from the punks treachery.

The Rats have made investigations and the impeachment drama play just an extension of their campaign. This will do lasting harm to the US. If the Dems and their collaborationist Republican allies remove President Trump, they need to know that there will be a very high possibility that American Patriots will remove the US Congress well before the 2020 election.

Everytime McConnell does this, he’s simply telling the Rats how much work they have to do, wittingly or unwittingly. He’s not saying ‘you’re wasting your time’, rather ‘we’re not there yet, keep up the pressure and I’ll give you another update next week’.
