Kanye West's "Jesus Is King" album was not only crowned No. 1 on the charts but also managed to land every song on Billboard's Hot 100 this week.
"Follow God" debuted the highest on the chart in the Top 10 at No. 7, followed by "Closed On Sunday," the 42-year-old born-again believer's anthem about Chick-fil-A and family values, at No. 17.
In the top 25, "Selah" and "On God" came in at 19 and 23, respectively, with "God Is" and "Use This Gospel," featuring Clipse and Kenny G, Nos. 36 and 37.
Making their first appearance on the Hot 100 are Ant Clemons, who is featured on "Everything We Need" with Ty Dolla Sign at No. 33, and "Water" at No. 50, Fred Hammond, who is featured in "Hands On" at No. 59, and the Sunday Service Choir, who is featured on the first track of the album, "Every Hour" at No. 44.
The final track on the album, "Jesus Is Lord," comes in at No. 62, giving West a solid lineup.

Now is he making the album to glorify God or himself? I guess we’ll see how he spends the money he makes from it.
Curious to see how this affects his marriage to Kim Kardashian.
Because of how streaming works, album plays count as “singles” now.
The charts are goofy and nobody actually buys music anymore. 2,000 sales can put you in the top 200.
is the music any good
Can’t say I don’t have reservations about this guy...but it’s never a good idea to put new Christians on the front line too soon. However an Album I don’t have any issue with.
That is absolutely true. I had a viral song that reached #2 on a certain Billboard chart. Didn't take much to get there.
“is the music any good”
It’s barely music.

Kanye has been big for 15 years. It’s pretty well known he’s bipolar. Joe Rogan was talking to him, and he has stopped taking his medication because it messes with his curiosity.
I like it a lot, but I have quite diverse music tastes.
The link below for “Selah” is a good intro...but these songs are arguably still in sample format — hence the entire album clocking in at only 27 minutes.
After viewing livestreams of the full-length Sunday Service, I realize the record truly comes alive when the songs are sung LIVE. The worship is not spontaneous, but in real-time — and the atmosphere is truly charged and activated in all the right ways.
Blessings!
Bipolar? Ruh-roh.
That really sucks. But if it reaches a lost soul, God bless
curiosity = creativity
Kanye’s music is crap. I’ll stick with real Christian music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CciV-kWcQRQ
This really tells me we have a generation with an unsatisfied hunger for His message. I'm not sure what to make of him, but it's not up to me to decide.
Wouldn't it be an amazing testament of His glory for a next Great Awakening to sprout from the hip hop community. I would never have imagined it. God is great.
Heres a fun one. I heard a cover of this on an Apple ad and looked up the original.

Different music appeals to different people. If it brings someone to Christ, it is good as far as I am concerned. For myself, it's not a style I'd prefer to listen to, but I have no problem with the message of "Jesus is King" at all. Anyone who can spread the Word among the lost souls of this world has my support.
Been listening to Kanye’s CD.
First off, you realize what a gutsy thing he did here. Kinda like Bob Dylan coming out with a Christian album.
Next, I’m struck at the shear number of views 2 to 4 million depending on the song!!!!
Thirdly some of the songs are actually quite good, and reveal a musician who is extremely gifted.
So far, the title song is the most difficult to listen to, but I’m going to stick with it.
I’m in my 60s, so I’m probably going to miss a lot, and he throws OUT a lot at you.
