Sessions is running because he sees the GOP field in AL is weak.
Up to this point, the 2 best known names running for the GOP are U.S. Rep Bradley Byrne and former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville. Neither inspire confidence.
The DemonRat incumbent Doug Jones could well retain his seat.

Too bafd Jeffy couldn’t be for Trump as Attorney General, when he could have actually done some good for Trump and the nation, rather than just one out of a hundred Frat Boys playing at being statesmen...
Sessions was maybe my favorite Senator in 2015-2016.... But no, no more.
Time for him to retire and enjoy his grandchildren....

Next thing you know, Mitt Romney will come out strongly boosting Jeff Session’s campaign. He will be followed by the other NeverTrumps. Jeff will be invited on many of the Media talk shows. He will foolishly go on them all.

Sessions is part of the deep state. His last 3 years demonstrates this. If he gets in they will call it a bipartisan effort to impeach. They will keep trying to impeach into Trumps next term.
Sessions has been and still is a deep state plant. If he wasn’t, we wouldn’t be having this divided conversation now.

I was at that rally just to his left off cam. Was excited when he endorsed. Now? Wouldn’t elect him for local dog catcher. He turned out to be an utter “balagan”.

And Jeff Sessions (never trust again) may be better than booker and menendez,
but he will be in a better position to further screw President Trump (US) if he gets his seat back.
