Last time I read about it, it was about 4% of people who claimed an exclusive gay or lesbian identity in adulthood, with slightly more males than females. However, that was a decade ago before the giant propaganda push to recruit more children.
I haven’t watched a network TV program in 20 years because of obvious attempts at social engineering like this and the constant barrage of interracial couples. We’re not the ones it’s aimed at however, it’s children they’re targeting with this garbage. While most adults will roll their eyes at this stuff and silently fume while thinking here they go again, a young child will see it and use it to form his view of the world, not knowing that a world where half the couples are gay and the other half interracial isn’t real and that they’re being manipulated by sophisticated marketers. That child will grow up thinking this is normal as well as all their peers who spent their formative years watching the same brainwashing media. When they’re adults 30 years from now the world will be full of people that view this type of stuff as normal, thus it WILL become normal.
There’s a concept in psychology called Normalization of Deviance. It’s usually applied to safety situations where someone disregards best safety practices until when, over time, the unsafe practice becomes the norm. Eventually that’ll lead to an undesirable situation. This is much the same but it’s intentional on the part of the media today. By presenting these types of things as being positive they’re normalizing deviance, knowing that eventually these types of behavior will be accepted as normal.

I didn’t notice the Chewy brand placement. Usually, I “watch” those movies with my wife with one eye on the TV and the other on my Kindle or a book. Glad to know it wasn’t Hallmark, and my one order to Chewy is probably my last.
If there was ever a group that is forcing people to hate them
From my occasional perusal of modern television shows and commercials, it looks to me like these people are asking for a cut in the numbers of Homos and etc. on television. Seems like half the characters in the shows are homo or at least bi, and 3/4 of the males in commercials lisp their way through their lines.
