Schiff Starwitness: "What I Can Do Here For You Today Is Tell You What I Heard From People"

U.S. diplomat Bill Taylor told Democratic counsel at Wednesday's impeachment inquiry hearing that he can "tell you what I heard from people" when asked about the quid pro quo between President Trump and the Ukrainian president.

COUNSEL DANIEL GOLDMAN: Now, during this early period in September, we talked a little bit about the fact that you continually heard that the president was repeatedly saying that there was no quid pro quo. Is that right?

TAYLOR: That's correct.

GOLDMAN: And he--he still says that repeatedly today, but regardless of what you call it, whether it's a quid pro quo, bribery, extortion, abuse of power of the office of the presidency, the fact of the matter as you understood it is that security assistance and the White House meeting were not going to be provided unless Ukraine initiated these two investigations that would benefit Donald Trump's reelection. Is that what you understood the facts to be?

TAYLOR: Mr. Goldman, what--what I can do here for you today is tell you what I heard from people

This doesn’t even qualify as any kind of impeachment hearing!

Impeachment hearings should be done by the judicial committee for one.

For two, actual iimpeachment hearings should involve the whole House.

For 3, at BEST these can be referred to as depositions.

And another note... since impeachment is more like a grand jury trial than an actual trial, then hearsay might be admissable in impeachment trial.

However, not at all grand jury procedures are in place during impeachments (like being held in secret... which is one reason hearsay is actually admissable)...the secrecy of GJ trials protects the falsely accused from having their reputation maligned....but that is nearly impossible nor proper to do with high public offices and officials.

Especially with democrat leakers you can never have a truly secret GJ/impeachment trial anyways. I have no problem with secret investigations as long as both parties Rep and Dem are allowed to be present.

I do take issue with secret TRIALS.
There’s a difference.

This isn’t a trial yet.

Im sure someone will correct me if i’m wrong here.

Then, the look on Jordan’s face made very clear that Schiff’s effort was destroyed. Jordan’s smile popped up and it was apparent he was savoring his win.

He wears a costume...... a shirt, no suit jacket. He is not a stuffy old autocrat. He came to work as a man of the people.

Yep, that nasty Bill of Rights stands in the way of their Communist Utopia. We are getting a good look at their justice system.

While I don’t think it’s all quite that direct from POTUS,
= = = = = = = = = = =
Agree BUT have to think his hand is in most everything.
I believe one of his biggest faults was his NOT vetting his ‘inner circle’ better as he is used to being in complete control, with the ability to hire and fire at will in his past careers.

With that ‘power’ he can/could keep someone around as long as he/she were ‘useful’ than either demote or just can them. — hence the many campaign ‘directors’.

I think D & SIL were ‘bad’ choices as they apparently were and maybe are trying to live their ‘left leaning lifestyle’, which is great in the Civilian World as it may show ‘fairness and understanding’ but when getting up to this level, every time they ‘break wind’ they will get accused or praised dependent how they ‘rank’ with the leeches following them. and we know how that works.

Along with your synopsis, PDJT seems to have the trait/personality that if you ‘F with the bull, you are definitely going to get the horn’.

His brashness and straightforwardness are a refreshing change from the ‘lawyer speak’ of the modern day pol, PDJT will attract the working class because he ‘speaks’ and gives the impression that he ‘thinks’ like they do.

The smarmy answers have always been there, but WJC took them to a new level
(depends what is is) and
(OF COURSE I was never alone in the WH with internes. The Front desk and basement Comm Center are ALWAYS manned).

and my personal favorite
(DRAFT DODGER? the REAL Draft Dodgers are those that enlisted in the Navy & Marines & Air Force in the 50s and 60s to avoid being drafted at 19 (or words to that effect)’

Biden is able to ‘accuse’ Trump of all kinds of misdeeds inre Ukraine because he is ‘guilty’ of it himself.
Love to see that net widened and give the Public the inner view of these pols that we all may suspect but never really ‘believed’.

Like Chris Plante is wont to say
“If not for double standards, LIBs would have no standards at all”

“...[Dems]started the impeachment process to keep PDJT from being able to appoint her replacement.”

Real question: which law says Pres. Trump cannot nominate a POTUS replacement while this House freak show is in progress?

“Ruth Bader Ginsberg died last week. The Demonrats knew she was at death’s door three weeks ago...”

Hmm...all states have strict laws concerning issuance of death certificates and disposition of human remains. Failing to report a death or concealing a dead body means jail time.

Falsely reporting a death long after the fact will have the coroner & law enforcement deeply involved, especially in the case of a prominent person like RBG.

Are Dems prepared to risk that?

I was referring to a senate trial. I should have been more clear.

You are exactly right.

I say this BS might not even get to trial in the senate.

Discovery is one huge reason. The Rats do not want discovery for all to see and discovery would lead to other problems for the Rats.

The Nazis had better standards of evidence very likely to keep the Resistance from reporting key Party members as collaborators.
Speaking of which, has there ever been a more coddled Resistance movement? They announce themselves freely on television, the sit on the bench without worrying about visitors in the dead of night and generally go about freely, while friends of the President are often picked up in predawn raids covered by the "official" news network.

Didn’t we hear. that someone heard that. Schiff has aids of the brain, and he imagines 24/7 that people said bad things about President Trump.

Fai Mao “...My conspiracy theory: Ruth Bader Ginsberg died last week. The Demonrats knew she was at death’s door three weeks ago and started the impeachment process to keep PDJT from being able to appoint her replacement....”

Also, Schiffless and rats knew that Ruthie was dying, and they had to do something to keep President Trump from appointing another Trump Supreme.
