BEIJING China is still calling for the U.S. to roll back tariffs as part of any "phase one" agreement, as trade negotiations between the world's two largest economies drag on.
"The trade war was begun with adding tariffs, and should be ended by canceling these additional tariffs. This is an important condition for both sides to reach an agreement," China's Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Gao Feng said at a weekly press conference Thursday, according to a CNBC translation.
I say the Trade War began when China first started playing America, by deliberately stalling and interfering with American businesses at every single opportunity for the last THIRTY YEARS.
At every single corner. Always.
We are only now, (starting) to push back.
We are not doing nearly enough, in my view.
I am very much for Trump, but we are not doing nearly enough.
In my view ...
Agree. We should leave the WTO, rendering it worthless. Then start a new one sans China.
After WWII America threw open its market, the only significant rich market in the world, so that the devastated world could recover from the war. The world recovered and their exports began to hurt American workers. The US government didn’t care because the policy had kept peace worldwide for 70 years. We even allowed the Chinese the same privilege as the allies. Well, they stole from us and undercut our workers and took undue advantage. As my mother said, “Pigs get fat, but hogs get slaughtered.” It’s time to look out for America, and that is what Trump is doing.
No, it shouldn’t. And keep your spies at home China, you thieving murdering twisted disgusting greedy bunch.
As a start, maybe China should remove their tariffs on US products.
