Some voters (or jury members) might feel that bribery and corruption, and even sedition might be “justified” if someone was “one of the Good Guys”. But pedophilia is really hard to defend.
I think the swamp gets a lot easier to drain once people realize that the swamp is deeply involved in child molesting, and will even defend the practice: they think it’s no big deal. Normal people will not support this.

As conservatives, words mean things. She is correct. Paedophilia is love of sex with children, not sexually adult females, or late adolescent females.
Statutory rape is not paedophilia.
Just because someone is legally a child, does not mean desire for sex with them is paedophilia, which is a mental condition.
Women routinely married at ages 13 and above for most of human existence.
The legal age for marriage remains as low as 14 in some states.
You can put many 14 year old young women in a line-up with women to age 40, and many will not be able to reliably pick out the different ages.

All the females involved were older than 16, but less than 18.

While appalling, sex with post-pubescent, but underage prostitutes is not the same as sex with pre-pubescent little girls. The law treats it the same, and it is even called pedophilia, but psychologically, it isn’t the same.

I think that Epstein and the numerous sex crimes that have been exposed and are being exposed paint a picture of a communal dark secret that they use to keep or distinguish themselves as elite.
