Having attended the ceremony, and having consulted with the Commander in charge, I am confident that we can accommodate a 21-gun salute, which had been a meaningful feature of the ceremony in years past.
“We will therefore reinstate the 21-gun salute next year, and we will make sure to minimize any disruptions to classes and communicate the details of the ceremony in advance. Thanks to all who shared their views about this topic, and my sincere apologies to any who may have doubted our commitment to honoring our veterans, whom we hold in the highest esteem and who deserve our gratitude.”

It’s a good thing these snowflakes don’t live around me. Christmas day last year sounded like a war zone. At least 20 people must have gotten guns for Christmas and they all tried them out (including what sounded like one automatic weapon). And it bothered no one.
Unless the shoot them in to the sky like moose limbs. Then when the slugs come through the roof it can be annoying. :-)

Glad to see this. The whole idea of a 21 gun salute IS TO SHOCK, RAISE EMOTIONS, and MAKE EVERYONE AWARE OF HOW IMPORTANT IT IS. and it DOES!
We need a petition against the swords on the mascot. Should not be encouraging instruments of violence at a school. Are they Rapiers? If so, that is another reason to outlaw them. The word is too much like support for sexual violence. /s
