I seriously hope no president ever pardons Vindman. He is a disgrace. Unless one believes the entire NSC is corrupt, I can only hope he was allowed to listen in on a POTUS conversation with Ukraine because of his knowledge of the language and not because he was a KNOWN LEAKER.
I am of the opinion that the President should directly appoint Gallager to Lt Commander (O4) and send him to some quite “retirement” posting. Perhaps an advisor on the use and application of special operations teams at the war college or as a cross branch liasion to the Army or some such.
Then let him hold that rank for the minimum 6 months (perhaps a year) and then retire. That would compensate Gallager for the legal miss treatment by JAG and remove the issue from the front pages.
Having served in the U.S. Army (contract was 1985-1993)I saw first hand the two worlds that exist within the ranks . Officers can (and do) resign at any time as opposed to the “enlisted” man . With ALL of the acclaim that is designated to an officer , with his education and grooming enabling him (supposedly) command it is fact that CSM’s run the show ...also the best officers were always former enlisted personal. I understand the separation aspect but they really are two diametrically opposed worlds within one bubble and the amusing thing was how it all leveled out in the field . I am of the opinion that it is OUT freakin’ standing that there is a President that will exercise his given power to protect those who are systematically run roughshod over by the “officer class.” If you send our military anywhere expect people to get killed/maimed and their will always be casualties that are not expected among the civilian population . To scrutinize our guys that have to implement and deal with the animals we are currently engaged is a twisted and difficult act to begin with and if they then have to take Flack from the brass afterwards for doing what they were sent to do well its f _____g wrong....walk a mile in the shoes of a soldier and then speak to meif you feel differently....Oh...where is the deserter obama/sotoreo pardoned now?....How are the families of the soldiers killed looking for that POS doing...?
Thanx for posting
When did taking a picture with a dead enemy become a War Crime?
Seems to me like Soetoro pardoned a few military personnel. I’m having trouble remembering their names. A little help?
President Truman demonstrated this when he fired General McArthur.
Truman faced heavy criticism (from his intellectual and moral inferiors) for his action, which was in fact correct.
Truman was one of the few truly Great Presidents of the USA, to wit: Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Lincoln, Truman, Reagan, and Trump.
The Greatest President of all is Donald Trump.
Intelligent treatment of a complicated issue.
If the military is really concerned with discipline, they wouldn't allow a popinjay like Vindman prance around in his uniform, especially after he admitted that he countermanded orders from The President. He is not the only one, several Flag Officers have seen fit to do likewise, and the one most lauded, Mattis, set the precedent.
