Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin announced Tuesday they will be stepping down from the leadership of the search giant's parent company, Alphabet.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who previously had been a member of the Alphabet board of directors, will head both companies moving forward.

"With Alphabet now well-established, and Google and the Other Bets operating effectively as independent companies, it’s the natural time to simplify our management structure," Page and Brin wrote in a blog post.

"We’ve never been ones to hold on to management roles when we think there’s a better way to run the company," they added.

Look at the Google stock structure. Those two control the voting shares, so they can’t be kicked out.

As a tech stock investor for years I have watched these two guys bring Google up from a company who would “do no harm” to a company willing to buy and compile any kind of data on every citizen possible, including medical. IOW: I hate them

Hiring a guy from India with a envious peeve against the US, Yeah what could go wrong?

Like gays who hire within their own ranks the company will all be non Americans in upper positions in 10 years.

Well they are both 46 years old and worth more than $100B so I imagine they can do whatever they want. Cool.

So why are they stepping down? To spend more time with their families?

The military has been upset with google that they've been supplying the Chinese military with systems while refusing to take US military.

Suggesting a major criminal law suite might be in thew works

From "Don't be evil" to morphing into flat out evil in less than a decade.

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. They are absolutely, totally corrupted. Awful people.

As much as possible, don't use Google.

"As much as possible, don't use Google."

What are our alternatives that aren't owned or controlled by google?

Google has been blocking Trump hundreds of Trump ads very few left wing ads for violation of terms they claim. Twitter has been blocking conservatives for similar reasons. I've personally had major problems with social medias. The IRS was proven in court they attack conservatives.

This is all called lawfare or using laws and rules as a direct warfare against their enemy. The left has been bragging about this.

The new OPEN SOURCE browser BRAVE is fast and effective.

Ditch Google Chrome for Brave.

The search engine dogpile.com is superior to Google Search.

I’m still looking for a superior alternative to gmail.

Badly needed is a superior alternative to Google YouTube.
