Democrats plan to announce articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday, a senior Democratic aide told NBC News on Monday night.
The Washington Post, citing three officials, reported Monday night that the two articles were expected to allege abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. NBC News hasn't confirmed the report.
“I think todays IG report killed impeachment.”
How so?
That’s all? A nothingburger. Very elastic terms - could mean anything.
Whatever Democrats deem criminal is impeachable.

It doesn’t matter if there was a crime. Understand what this is... it’s about the next election. Trump must be impeached and removed OR ELSE his re-election is not valid. It is 2016 all over again. 4 more years of resistance.

True, and I readily admit to being one of them.
I never for one second believed the Democrats would be stupid enough to actually vote to impeach, given that not a SINGLE Republican will join them in their political suicide pact.
In fact, despite this top Democrat aide’s comment, I STILL refuse to believe there are enough Democrats moronic enough to pass this blatantly partisan impeachment farce into the eager hands of the Republican Senate.
Not only would impeachment die in the Senate, but it would be a stinging rebuke to the Democrat Party, branding them with the taint of abject partisanship just months away from a national election, and all but assuring President Trump’s re-election in 2020.
Moreover, a Senate trial carries with it substantial risk of criminal exposure for many ex-Obama officials and top Democrat legislators, who broke numerous laws conspiring to frame Donald J Trump with weaponized intelligence, fabricated evidence, illegal warrants, subpoenas, leaks and smears, and false testimony.
So, if the Democrats do vote to impeach tomorrow, I will dutifully chow down on my serving of crow - I never thought it would happen.
Impeachment for personal and political gain.

Sick people run the media at KTLA tv and KNX radio. For two years the word “Mueller” was in the news 24/7. Thankfully, most people tune out the media.

Seems like a bare majority for impeachment in the house was a real miss by the framers.
No such thing a “Obstruction of Congress”. That is a completely fraudulent charge with utterly no merit what so ever. This PDF is merely a pathetic attempt to conflate “Obstruction of Justice” into a completely made up new charge of “Obstruction of Congress”.
The Executive is a Co Equal Branch of Govt. Basically the Democrats are trying to manufacture a scheme that Congress has some sort of mythical super authority over our Government.
Based on this ridiculous claim they could impeach Supreme Court Justices any time they over turned a Congressional act. By ruling against the act was “Unconstitutional” the Justices would be guilty of this mythical “Obstruction of Congress”
The document is entitled Obstruction of Congress. You have to read the entire document along with the case studies. There is no short cut.
Maybe try page 16...I think that’s probably what Nadler will be using.
