As bad as Labour and their atrocious party platform is. They’re nothing compared to the Dems in terms of sheer level of corruption and evil intent.
They broke the mold when they made Trump.
Bojo is not a Trump clone. He has been a maverick politician long before Trump decided to run for president. He is also, despite what people might think, not a right wing radical in the Trump mould, but a British 1 nation Conservative. Disraeli was the first of his kind dating back to the 19th century. He believes in patriotism and revels in Britains institutions and traditions but also believes in social reform and a robust health and welfare state.
The only parallel with Trump is the fact they were both opposed by an insane left who jumped off the deep end a long time ago and accuse anyone of not supporting their favoured candidates of being racist bigots.

I heard an Englishman on the radio explaining Johnson’s victory; apparently the prime driver was sovereignty - people were furious that officials they hadn’t elected (EU as opposed to UK) had so much power over them and their country.
They wanted their independence restored.
Isn’t it a matter of relativism? In the UK Bojo IS like Trump when you look at the UK culture and how he (Bojo) is seen within it.

I heard from a real conservative from the U.K. say that the “conservative party” in the U.K. is like Liberal Democrats lite in the U.S.
But compared to the Labour party that are Socialists and lite communists it seems conservative.
It is interesting that the left has made heros of the working class; now those people have rejected the left they are called deplorables. Perhaps that is why Marx called for a dictatorship of the proletariat.

The Conservative Party - and Boris Johnson - have pledged to fight climate change by all means available.
Trump has a solid record on the Global Warming hoax - except when he allowed the Political Left to destroy EPA Director Scott Pruitt, who was the only consequential Conservative in the Trump Administration.
The left automatically opposes President Trump even on issues they previously supported. As you say, they used to be for the American working class. Now that President Trump is working on bringing those manufacturing jobs back, they are free traitors.
