As a professional journalist, shouldn’t she say “after the house voted to impeach”. Whether he’s actually been impeached is not clear.
Maybe she means “historic“ in terms of the house incompetence.

You noticed that too. It makes it sound like something Trump did, rather than something that was done to him.
I can almost hear Trump bragging about it.

You know that AP lady, the one with pinched face and chicken neck — sad, really sad, she looks like Norman Bates’ mother — I think her name is Mil Mascaras, no, it’s Lisa Mascaro, but she should wear a thousand masks — even she said my impeachment is historic. And you known that’s what the American people elected us to do, to make impeachment great again, and you’ve never seen one like it before, we’re really showing the American people how it’s done, and Mitch McConnell, my friend Mitch, a great guy and a true patriot, but we’ve got even better things planned, the best in the country’s history for a long, long time, maybe ever.
