Tulsi Gabbard is positioning herself to pick up the pieces after the Dems implode in the 2020 election

Even though she continues campaigning for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination, it is now clear to me that Tulsi Gabbard’s real goal has nothing to do with wining the donkeys’ nod this election cycle. Her vote of “present” on the House’s articles of impeachment ensures that she has no chance this time around, and now, in an interview with ABC News (video not yet available), she goes even further and tips her hand.

The Hill reports:

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hi.), a 2020 presidential candidate, elaborated on her rationale for voting “present” on articles of impeachment against President Trumptelling ABC News impeachment proceedings will only “embolden” the president.

"I think impeachment, unfortunately, will only further embolden Donald Trump, increase his support and the likelihood that he'll have a better shot at getting elected while also seeing the likelihood that the House will lose a lot of seats to Republicans," Gabbard told ABC in New Hampshire Saturday.

Gabbard, who has announced she will not seek re-election to her House seat, said she was concerned Trump’s all-but-inevitable acquittal in the Republican Senate could ensure “lasting damage” in the event that Trump is re-elected and the GOP regains control of the House.

With Hawaii among the most heavily Democrat states, she might well have a hard time returning to the House anyway. And even if she were to return as a representative, she would no doubt face hostility from Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat colleagues, and likely would be punished. Nancy Pelosi, who prays all the time for Trump, also warns, “Don’t mess with me.”

She’s most dangerous dem running. She looks good, sounds reasonably sane, but is just as rabid, lunatic leftist as them all.

Unlike Katie, Tulsi keeps those things private.

She was an early supporter of Sanders. Anyone fooled by her deserves what they get, frankly.

Yeah, but the rest of the Country doesn’t deserve it.

I don’t care how hot she looks in a bathing suit. She’s a dem, and that makes her the enemy.

They chose that path, not us.

I’ve said this twice before, I’ll say it again.
_________

It’s getting to the point that, with all of these exotic and interesting individuals with so many different flavorful foreign backgrounds to choose from, regular old natural born citizens with pure vanilla American backgrounds (at most, perhaps their grandparents were once citizens of a foreign land), though competent, say, and inarguably eligible, are being drowned out by others deemed more exciting from a marketing standpoint.

Of course, if we had the capacity to behave more maturely and self-respectfully as a nation, those “others” would be forced down into the audience like the rest of us, not up on the debate stage reserved for actual POTUS-eligible candidates.

Let the word go forth. Let us declare expressly that the Command in chief of the U.S. Armed Forces shall not be given to, nor devolve on, any but a plain vanilla Citizen. Exotic flavors need not apply.

That pock marked pudgy nastiness might be hot in your eyes, but not in mine. Even if she were a conservative, she’s just not hot.

Using FR as a litmus test, if this thing did get the dem nomination in 2020, I’m willing to bet many here at FR and all over other segments of the conservative population would vote for her simply because of that perception.

I recall back in the day when women were accused of voting for JFK simply because they thought he was good looking. I have a feeling some men are much worse in this department.

We saw what a catastrophe an usurper can be with Obama.

We should never let that happen again.

Natural born citizen only, like the Constitution says.

Natural born citizens are born here of citizen parents.

Children of foreigners are precisely who the founders were excluding.
They are born with divided citizenship, the very thing the founders were excluding by requiring one who is NATURALLY a citizen because they could be no other.

“(at most, perhaps their grandparents were once citizens of a foreign land)”

Meaning that as of the moment of their birth, both of their parents at least had completed the process of putting their foreign allegiances in their respective rear-view mirrors, even if one or more of their grandparents hadn’t yet, or never did or would, make that leap of faith.

It’s all about purging the child’s life of direct foreign “country of origin” (or “unincorporated U.S. territory of origin” influence in the case of Gabbard) from either mom OR dad OR soil. Only that child is POTUS-eligible. No other need apply!

She is a snake who hides behind the Veteran and Woman card. Voting “present” was a typical Obama tactic that suited him well.

Still, in any open primary state, I could see conservatives voting in the Dem primary for her, just to muddy up the field.

In a statement following her vote, Gabbard said: “I am standing in the center and have decided to vote present.”

“I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing,” she said.

If she stays in Hawaii she’s finished in politics. The rat base hates her now and an R cannot get elected there.
