great. Madrassa compounds just like home.

As one gets older, one develops a whole lot less tolerance and compassion for murderers. So, how about, kill Christian or Jewish folk at their place of worship or while burying their dead, and you get the summary judgement of being hanged in the public square toot sweet, no more questions asked? lot cheaper. Eco-friendly - no electricity. And no worries about shortages of euthanasia drugs.

Strings?
* everybody in church must register their weapons
* the church must endorse unlimited abortion through the fourth trimester
* the church must build a new chapel dedicated to homos and trannies
* the church must add living quarters for all people seeking sanctuary from ICE

>> houses of worship and other nonprofits

In other words this law will equate churches and synagogues to the million leftist organizations and radical mosques to each get government funded muscle. As long as politically correct regulations to be written by the permanent beaurocracy are met. In the end almost all of the money will go from us taxpayers to hard left fronts and surveillance state expansion. No thanks!

Also even if it worked somewhat it would be exploited for propaganda -and send the wrong message to imply - we need the invisible foot of government to successfully defend ourselves. Already this time the media gave credit to the FBI.

Cynicism aside, if they increased support for local reserve deputy programs and NRA shooter education and CMP, you would be incentivizing what worked in this case.

The government should pay for guns: as a Constitutional RightTM, it's a private matter between a woman and her armourer.

An affaire de l'amour d'armour, if you will.

And if she practices concealed-carry, then it's a right to privacy as well.

Isn’t it funny the very same people who cry foul on anything that remotely sniffs of separations of church and state are proposing this?

Any house of worship that takes fed money will be beholden to them in ways they never dreamed.

For decades Chuck has read the morning news then rushed to the cameras or radio to declare an ill-conceived proposal. Typical.

Schumer’s aim is to replace concealed carriers with more off-duty police.

Schumer wants to turn the places into New-York-like prisons, as he does with the whole country.

This is not the domain of the federal government.

This is no more than typical leftist vote buying. If it doesn’t go through Chuckie will claim that the evil pubbies and Orangeman hate Jews.

Trust me, Schumer doesn’t give a good damn how many Jews are killed if it benefits him and the Rats.

I wish there was an accurate way of determining how many adult US Jews reliably vote Rat. Although it would probably be depress me.

The church I attend employs a professional leo for services and has a bazzilon plus or minus ccw holders. We all fear a massive cross-fire friendly fire incident. No hot doggers just middle aged guys quietly minding the store.

"Last week, Congress authorized an increase of the funding for the program by 50%, from $60m. in 2019 to $90m. in 2020. In addition, Schumer said he would promote a significant increase of federal funds that are used to prosecute hate crimes, from $5m. to $100m. more money................................"

Not only "NO", but "HELL NO!!!"

These clowns have not discovered that Gun Free Zones are a magnet for criminals who break the law.

Has anyone ever heard of a shot fired at a gun trade show, or heard of a murder at a gun range?

Armed, law-abiding people make for a safe community.

"The Nonprofit Security Grants Program (NSPG) allows houses of worship and other nonprofits to apply for grants of up to $100 thousand for each institution."
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Sen. Schumer's push for security funding for houses of worship is a state power issue imo, not the business of the feds.

In other words, Schumer's plan is probably intended to help corrupt federal career lawmakers stay in power at the expense of unconstitutionally expanding the already unconstitutionally big federal government's powers.

Remember in November!

If Repubs had any balls and brains, they would insist no additional Fed grant money until NY, Calif, CT and Illinois relax their anti-constitutional gun grabbing laws, specially allowing relaxing concealed car permits, and allowing CC IN HOUSES OF WORSHIP like in Texas.

"I foresee most of this going to protect muzzlime institutions and/or being absorbed into programs like the DNC bank account."

Yep. Every house on every block in little Mogadishues USA will become a mosque that needs hardening and weapons and munitions. Score!

“... heard of a murder at a gun range?”

Cris Kyle. On February 2, 2013, Kyle and his friend, Chad Littlefield, 35, were shot and killed by Eddie Ray Routh at the Rough Creek Ranch-Lodge-Resort shooting range in Erath County, Texas.

Excellent point!

[So the dual-citizenship-with-Israel guy tries to get the US to pay for security for US mosques, right?]

Not sure where you’re getting the dual citizen stuff. Schumer is Jewish and eligible for Israeli citizenship just as you’re eligible for citizenship in whatever European countries from which your ancestors hailed. But I’ve never heard that he had taken up Israeli citizenship, apart from a dubious source that basically listed the entire Jewish delegation of Congress as dual citizens of the US and Israel.
